Good morning Porch Pals and Gal.

I had my local paintless dent take a ding out of my tailgate yesterday afternoon. $150 cash and off I went. First ding in 9 years so no complaints from me. Hoping to do some minor paint correction on my car today and ceramic sealant. Treat the leather and I'll be good to go.

:rain:Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Some big wind, and 0.03" is all that happened here this morning. Some spot showers likely through the day. :rain: Thursday and Friday supposed to be a lot more in the rain bucket. We need it.

Wassup boomers. 20+ years ago when I buried my father I took some time to go through his work bench and tools in the garage. Lots of crap, rusted tools, etc.....he threw nothing away. Today, going through my mess, is one of my post retirement jobs. I found this after about 15 minutes. It was salvaged from my dad's garage. You cant out run your DNA.
I cleaned it up and I'll finish the job later. I think retired means allowing time to reminisce...there's always tomorrowDirty old man.jpg .

Busy day... haircut, then Walmart for tire shopping & checking oil availability, + a belt, papaya, white corn.

I went online first to check prices. Looks like I won't be changing brands, unless the availability isn't really there. Tires are more expensive than last time (isn't everything, the past 2 years)? Hankook Dynapro ATM (265/75-16) for $189.99/ ea. + well everything else, maybe the air, too?

Been running them for years, two different times on my 2010 DC 4x4. Discount Tires is my regular source, but Walmart online shows them for $40 less, each... How does the online thing work? You order them to be delivered to your local Walmart for the install?
There is also Discount Direct, but I have asked the salesman in the past if he could match Discount Direct, and he said "yes"... who knows for sure, as I didn't check before I got them last time! LOL

Motor oil... Run Castrol Edge High Mileage full synthetic (5w-30) or Castrol GTX synthetic blend (that was an accident last time... didn't see the word 'blend')... getting old sucks! My (independent) Toyota (Factory Trained) mechanic informed me that Wix XP is even better than Toyota filters... which has been all I have used the past 13 years. He also likes Shell Rotella oil.

OK... I am done rambling... back to your regular programming...

New roof on after waiting for the rain to stop. Solar panels go on in a few weeks. I moved a ton of river rocks last week and they didn’t cover the whole Space I needed. Back to get more Saturday. You can see the roofing products on the roof in the rock pictures. The truck handled the trailer load amazingly. All of those boxes are full to the top with rocks.

Going to see Joe Pug at the Sweetwater in Mill Valley tonight. I missed live music so much during Covid. I’m happy to support the smaller venues across the bay and into Sacramento.

Welcome to the porch. Pull up a chair and get the beverage of your choice.

Nice looking Tacoma and I like what you are doing around your home.

Were you able to stream the shows for free? If you stream them where do you stream them from?

Good morning. My outdoor furniture repaint will finish up today. I just have to assemble the bench and table. Today is seniors' day at Harris Teeter and I have my Easter shopping list ready to go. Not too busy a day but it will go by quickly, too quickly these days.

I have DirecTV Stream as my TV provider. They have multiple Combat and Rat Patrol episodes on Saturday night. DVR them and watch at our convenience.

Love that blue, we'll need pics upon completion

    Morning all:

Welcome Stevo, first fill up the cooler, then pull up a chair on the porch, good group on here with varied interests.
Glad you salvaged that sign, every time you look at it you will probably smile and it will remind you of your dad.

    Question for the forum...

I've been having fits with my old laptop. The cooling fan has been malfunctioning and the computer overheating. I ordered a new laptop to replace the old one. I just got the new unit a few days ago and this morning when I woke it up it had a notice come up that the cooling fan was malfunctioning and recommended not using the computer.

Is it possible that the wiring in my wall socket is attached backwards and that the juice is flowing the opposite direction, causing this in both computers? I've heard that having the wires switched can create problems with appliances. Any ideas?

Sounds like the cooling fan airflow may be being blocked by something under or around your laptop.
