Good morning. Off to the gym then it will be an errand day with stops at a grocery store, HD, a BBQ shop in Annapolis and a pet store. Also have some Styrofoam to recycle. Going out to a different restaurant down by the Chesapeake Bay to listen to a musician my son knows. Getting ready to smoke a turkey breast tomorrow.

Headed to Lime Rock Park in western Connecticut today for a day of watching Porsche Club of America racing today. First started going to that track in 1973 when I was in high school. It's a beautiful drive going there including crossing a covered bridge. Lot of great memories.

Lime Rock is less than 30 minutes from me . Never been there but I’ve driven past it thousands of times . Paul Newman used to race there also .

    Morning all:

Holy crap, just looked at a Gravely Pro Turn EV 48" side discharge Zero turn, $23,471 WO batteries, $32,667 with batteries , seeing that took it off my "MAYBE" list real fast!
Time to mow today on my "CHEAP" Scag, after seeing the price of that Gravely I feel much better about the price I paid for the Scag!
:annoyed:the bear is back, the pond is low, maybe time to put doughnuts out in the middle of the road, nothing else seems to work!

A little something every chance we get.
:rain: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, there was one more arrow in the quiver around midnight. Turning severe just before getting to us. But, no hail and .7" of rain.

    Screenshot_20230420_230945_KXAN Weather.jpg

Orange box is severe. red box was a tornado warning. All told, three of those in the evening. Two about 30 miles away. There was the promised egg size hail, but happily not for me. So, very little happened here, but they were not wrong.

Bit lively up in my neck of the woods.

The pool needed water, overflowing this morning. 7" of rain (flood).

The fire department said "high water rescues" were carried out. When they gave the location, I'm like that's not a low water location. It's a dip in the road, but with that much rain it got about 4' at its deepest. Google street view of location (183 & Duval).

A friend's fiance was killed in the 1981 Memorial Day flooding in Austin.

I watched the street (frontage road) flood during the weather alerts. From road to nearly 2' deep, to a road within about 30 minutes! Hope you missed all the hail.

    Evening all:
I also posted this on car porn, my buddy Dennis has this in his shop to hand paint the lettering. On the wall you can see only a small amount of his collection of mounts, and I mean only a small amount, he has hundreds of them!
I know the guy who owns this Willys PU, he built it many years ago with a Hilborn injected 427 in it, then sold the truck and engine separately. He tracked down both the truck and the engine that he had in it and put it back together almost exactly the way it was when he originally built it, what are the odds on that, the only thing missing is the Hilborn injection, he even wanted the hand painted lettering that he had on it the first time around, not decals, there's when my buddy stepped up to the plate.

Carl: Scag's are nice mowers. Lots of the pro's use them.

Sounds like another fun day. With the approval of the meet participants please post up a few pics.

Good morning. Went to put the turkey breast in a brine last night and discovered it was a bone in breast. Put it in the brine and deboned it this morning. Net yield was 2.25 Lb of turkey. Back in the brine till I can get it ready for the smoker later on today.

Today the city is having it's annual Arbor Day celebration. I help out with the event so I need to be on the road at 08:45. We are supposed to have severe thunderstorms starting around 3pm today. I will have the turkey breast on at 1 and wrap them up and place in a cooler till dinner time. Trying a new recipe for the smoked turkey breast today.
