@ndoldman59 you only have 5 homeless in your city? Every other city has too many to count! Maybe one reason being that Fargo is well known as the Deep Freeze Capitol of America?

No we have more it just seems like there are 5 or 6 that have their space it's like they turned that location into a job. It's hard to believe those few have a need as that if they spent that much dedication to panhandling to an actual job they wouldn't be begging.

That’s exactly right. There are those who leave home in a business suit, change to scruffy clothes at a gas station where they leave their BMW parked, and take their cardboard homeless sign to their “place of employment”.

Went to the Shelby Experience here in Martinez. It was beyond cool, lots of original Shelby Cobras and mustangs.

They even had my favorite little convertible, the Sunbeam Tiger.

Good morning. If my sister does not need me to help her put one of her vehicles in the shop, I will be taking the Avalon to an upholstery shop to have the seat padding beefed up. Toyota really skimped on the seat padding. Also cooking a rack of ribs today. Might even start to reorganize the two sheds. Too many garden tools and lawn equipment.

Good morning Porch Pals and Gal
2" of much needed rain Saturday night and Sunday. My timing on lawn aeration on Thursday was perfect. Assembling a deck storage box today to store some of our deck furniture cushions.

Should be getting a free skidplate for the Taco this week via TW Express. I don't know if this is a thing around the country, but here in the northeast we get used parts and other items to each other by posting where an item is and where it needs to get to. As an example this past weekend someone in southern Connecticut bought a soft topper for his truck from someone in Vermont. Someone else in VT brought it with them to a meet-up in MA Saturday. I was at the meet-up and brought it to CT and the buyer came to my house yesterday and grabbed it. TW Express turned what would have been a 16 hour round-trip for him into 90 minutes.

    @lynyrd3

Bill, in early June I'm planning on going to Lime Rock for vintage sports car races. Tacoma Mike's team should be racing. I'll PM you prior to it and maybe we can meet up at the track.

One of my crazy memories was my 1967 Datsun 2000. The seat was a tube frame with Pirelli webbing, a little form, then covered.

Pirelli webbing was well known for upholstery, so selected to keep it simple and reduce weight. Challenge was with time, it would age and sag.

Take some Solexs that were jetted wrong and giving a hotter than normal exhaust, sagging seat resting on the floor, and my seat caught fire!

My ex-wife demanded the roadster in the divorce. She got it and her Ford Aerostar. I got the kids, dogs, and house and kept my '95 Nissan truck. No sooner were things finalized than she demanded the kids, as they weren't safe in the truck. I traded it in for a '99 Nissan Maxima w/ 5spd. When she complained, I explained her requirement for a safer vehicle. Years went by, found the original Valve cover (specific to the 1967 model year) and the Solex & manifold (I had put SU's back on for street driveability). The irony is I sold that valve cover and Solexes for more than I paid for the car. I miss the Roadster but love my kids, so I got the better of that deal!

Those with a sharp eye will notice MGB seats sitting in the car.

Trivia, Pininfarina designed the Roadster in secret. It debuted six months before the MGB that they also designed. People always thought it was an MGB knock-off design, but the other way around. Debutted in 1962 (smaller wheels, all drum brake, 1500cc engine) compared to MGB (1963).

What an awesome car. Many years ago I seen one of these on eBay. It was metallic blue with 2 white racing stripes down the middle. It also had a 289 Ford motor in it. I'm guessing it was fast as hell. As you mentioned the MG seat, Years ago, I sold a set of Fiero seats that had speakers in the head rest to a buy that was putting them into a MG. just kinda funny.

The Datsun roadster made the MGB obsolete before the B left the Abington assembly line...and I say that as a former MGB owner. 2000 was a great motor plus it had a 5 speed

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Only a 10% chance of :rain: today, but it's just going to continue in ugly mode like yesterday. Think after a while, I'll get to the garage and work on wiring my solar control. On nice days, I always find something else to do.

Thanks for the pics @Ivanimal ! Can't ever have enough Cobras in our lives!

My neighborhood is full of car guys so I've been fortunate to drive some interesting rides. Guy four houses from me had a Cobra replica with a built Ford 460 in it. Light weight, HUGE horsepower and a short wheelbase. The only car I've ever been scared of.

    Morning all:

I think I have only seen 3 real AC Cobras in my life, 1 427 on the street that I previously mentioned, 1 427 competing at the Weatherly Hill Climb, and 1 289 sitting at Pocono Drag Lodge, always enjoyed seeing them. I've seen multiple kit car Cobras, they are nice, but not the same as seeing the real thing. The Daytona Coupe is my favorite, and have only seen it in pictures, wonder if they make it in a kit car, if they do I have never seen one.
Also enjoyed the Pics. Ivan, think they referred to the Sunbeam Tiger as the poor man's Cobra, didn't see many of them around either, but I did know one guy who had one.
