RIP Great talent and a better than decent song writer.

Good afternoon. Been a busy two days and tomorrow will be no different. Had a positive visit with the doc for my yearly check up. I now only have to go every 6 months for the diabetes checkup. Thursday is a cardiologist visit and a MRI for my lower back. Thursday will be busy.

Encountered a few problems with the pork shoulder. Learned a lot and it came out so delicious and tender.

That looks absolutely DEEEELICIOUS Tom.

Just scarfed down some of the walleye cheek chowder that Jims GF made, also DEEEELICIOUS! :hungry:
Some may not know what walleye cheeks are, they are often referred to as walleye scallops and are found just behind the eye. There's not a whole lot of meat on them but they are quite tasty, so instead of using clams in a New England clam chowder recipe she uses the walleye cheeks.

Sounds Delicious Carl :hungry:. Love scallops so I bet they would be good in a chowder.

    Evening all:

I loved scallops when I was a kid, one time I got sick as a dog after eating them and after that even thinking about them came close to making me throw up. I didn't touch them for over 20 years, then on one trip back from Maine the place where we would stop to buy lobster to bring home had scallops, I bought the scallops and they were delicious, but I haven't eaten any since, apparently that one bad experience with them was enough to permanently curb my appetite for them!

Worth a try Ken, just cut them up into bite sized pieces and use them instead of clams in a New England clam chowder recipe.

I had a bad experience with green Jello in a school lunch in first grade, and can't even smell it or green Koolade since without wanting to upchuck.

IMO scallops are wasted in any kind of stew. Sizzled in butter lightly at high heat to caramelize the outside quickly is my preferred method.

My favorite place outside of Atlanta did scallops and grits. Used to be one of my favorites I'd look forward to when I did the dog and pony show (Technical Presentations).

Alas, my memory is shot and I can not remember the name of the place. Put me in a car, and I could drive there but no clue what street it was on or the name of the place.
