    Nice day for a ride!

Looks like I'm going to be taking a ride up through your area next month. A friend and I are heading to the Gay Bar up in Gay Township. Planning on doing it as an IBA Saddlesore ride leaving our area around midnight and being there in time for dinner on a Friday. 1063 miles one way then taking the rest of the weekend to ride home and dropping by Pittsburgh where the Iron Butt Rally will be starting from to say hello and wish riders luck.

    Morning all:

 Having a CRS moment, don't remember if I have 3 fish finders or 2 for the 3 boats, I may have bought just a transducer for the one boat so I could use the same FF on two of the boats. :annoyed: I'll figure it out, then make a note!

Off to the dentist this afternoon, had an app. last week that got canceled and rescheduled for next month, then they called yesterday and said they had an opening for today which I said would be OK.

 1063 miles one way on a bike.... yeah, no thanks, but hope you have a good time.

    Morning all.

Inversion tables are great for lower back pain. I use mine 2-3 times a week, even more if I do something I shouldn't have.

Have fun on the trip Chuck, that's a long haul in the saddle!

Well, found it, I actually have 4 fish finders, I remembered the one on the ice setup and thought I may have it set up for dual use on the boat, nope, wrong mount, then started digging through some soft tackle cases, AH HA, found the one that is for that boat. :yay:
Geez, bad enough when I know I have it and can't find it, let alone when I think I have it and can't find what I may or may not have! o_O

    Thanks!

I've done several Iron Butt rides and this one is going to be a bit different. It's going to be a memorial ride for a former coworker and friend who passed away last year. Plan was to do it back in September when the Iron Butt Association offers memorial ride certificates. I got bronchitis and had to postpone but have learned they allow this anytime of year, that's just a window of time they make a bigger deal out of them. Assuming I complete the ride, and I have faith in my own abilities to do it, I will get a certificate for completing it and one will be sent to my friend's partner to commemorate the ride. Allen was gay and he was with his partner Mark for more than 28 years. I plan to have the certificate worded to show that while I might have never gone to a gay bar with him I was willing to go to The Gay Bar for him. Mark has given me his blessing to do this saying it's the sort of thing Allen would have found humor in. When the time comes I will post my Spot track here so anyone wishing to follow along will be able to track me in near real time.

Much truth there. In my time as a SeaBee, we identified with the Marines more than the Navy, and sported starched Marine caps and Khaki blouses. You’d find us at the Tun Tavern as often as not.

Well I did 266 miles on the Bonnie today. I'm at 459 miles of the 600 break in miles. I rode to Port Austin at the tip of the thumb in Michigan and then came down all along the lake. It was at least 20 degrees cooler by the water.
It's very rare to see Lake huron this calm.
