Morning all:

Looks like you found a way to spend some time around some neat things that you apparently enjoy, congratulations Colonel Christesten!

Sounds like a busy day Mike, interesting about having to break in the shift dogs.
Candlepin bowling, had to look that up, never actually saw it and after looking it up I remembered that I had seen mention of it somewhere a long time ago when I saw the pins, enjoy, might take a while to get back in form though!

Just read an interesting article, a young girl was picking mushrooms just off the yard when her 13 YO brother saw a guy grab her, he grabbed his "SLINGSHOT", ran outside, and started shooting the guy with it, the guy let her go after getting hit several times and ran off in the woods where the cops later found him and arrested him.
Now I can only hope they don't arrest the 13 YO for being in possession of a weapon!

 

Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Wow, honest 1.68" overnight, and still coming down. A mowed lawn looks good wet! Supposed to have a few more hours of this too. Sounds like an excuse to do "not much" as much as I can!

@Tacoma Mike - rock a 5 lb. weight back and forth for a few hours! Had not bowled in ages, and we did a "fun trip" at work. Next day, I couldn't feel my arm and my fingers dragged the floor!

@95SLE Tom - funny that we had Spectrum here most the afternoon. Boiled down to forcing an update to the modem, which killed my Tenda Nova mesh. After he figured out that he had wiped the system off the modem, had to reboot both simultaneously, then all my Tenda came back just like that.

@boatswain Carl - that was the last thing I read before I got on TW! I did get a kick out of the crime-solving cows in North Carolina, and the OK police responding to a crying person call - that was a goat, yesterday!

 

I didn't see the other two, did hear something mentioned about the police call, but didn't know that it was a goat! Yea, some of this stuff is hilarious, what do they say, you can't make this s*** up!

 

I had to google "candlepin bowling".

I’ve been working my shoulders for the past two years.
Should be ok. I’ve done the big balls without issue so I think I’m good.
Just hate the big balls…

 

Test and tune went ok.
Developed a skip at the end.
So new plugs, cap and rotor, and float check before we head to LRP.

Man, how I'd love to be there for this! I'm hoping that helping out old war-birds will be suitable!

 

@boatswain - I waited all day for it to pop back up, and it did not. We think of our bovine friends as milk and steak, but they are so much more!

Glad all went well with the trial run Mike. I'm a bit jealous at your mechanical abilities. It's a lot of years of knowledge and ability to reach your level. Good luck with with the candle pin bowling.

Loved the "crime" stories about the slingshot and the cows. It is amazing what goes on around the country anymore.

Headed home from Beaufort SC yesterday morning at 4 AM and hit rain and of course traffic in Virginia and w
Washington and Baltimore and Delaware and Pennsylvania . An 11 and a half hour trip turned into aa almost 16 hour trip. Wife drove all the way with 2 stops for gas and one bathroom break. Need to take her to dinner for that. Just glad to be home.
