Same here. In Maryland the county school tax portion of the taxes is a sham. School funding was supposed to come from the lottery but that never happened. The money went to the county to fritter away. My local city tax is a decent value for the money. The city services I receive are exceptional.

Susan: I have a wind deflector on the 09 hood. It has saved the hood but chips on the "A" pillar happen, and I do have two down low dings on the windshield. I have the dings repaired and so far no spreading. BTW I now have over 140K on the clock. Sorry for the loss of the family member. Our furball is approaching 19 in June.

@roundrocktom Sorry for the medical issues. Please let me know if you will be doing another charity ride this year.

Good morning. I met with the neurosurgeons PA yesterday and ended up with referrals to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and one for water aquatics. I completed the paperwork for both facilities. I have a water aquatics appointment on June 5th and I am waiting to hear back from Johns Hopkins.

Today is a gym session and trimming back some shrubs out front. Smoking a chicken for dinner.

    It went to schools.
What is not said is that they removed the previous funding for schools. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. A scam that voters allowed by not speaking up. No increase of school funding.
    The emperor's new clothes.

Susan, so sorry to hear you lost a friend. It’s hard. Each day gets better with more happy memories of good times replacing the hurt of not being here. Hang in there.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals and Sue, and @MQQSE too! Get some bloodwork done, and put stuff back together. About it for the day. Thursday & Friday mornings, I will be getting my shocks revalved as soft as he can make them. Getting all the junk in my Decked out when I removed it was apparently more weight than I thought. Feels like running just hard springs again.
    Nothing that :spending:can't solve!

Our vet - who has been our furry friends' best bud for 20 years now - says those of us who are lucky will enjoy at least 6 loyal four footed, best friends and companions in our lifetime. Because as a family, we have often doubled up, our list is even longer - but it is never going to be easy to let one go..... Our best regards to you Sue.

    Morning all:
Well, looks like I'm screwed! :(
Somethings not right, I looked through every tax bill that I got and the only per capita tax bill that I could not find was the one that they are saying I didn't pay, the one I thought I needed the canceled check for was for the spring and then figured out that this one was for the fall.
I paid just over 3k for the fall taxes, why wouldn't I have included an extra $9.80 in the check, unless I never received that part of the tax bill, just seems strange that that is the only one that I could not find. :notsure:
I always pay my taxes early and in in full to receive a discount, don't know what happened here, but it somehow happened! Of course, I may have also missed that part of the tax bill and inadvertently thrown it away, in any case, at least I now know that I'm not paying double for something that I already paid, unfortunately it's going to cost me a $25 collection fee weather it was my fault or due to not getting a bill for it as part of the total tax.
