    Morning all:

Glad you made it safely through the ride Chuck, you must have an extremely comfortable seat on that bike!

True, I was just looking all over for an eraser that I always keep at one spot, not there! Bought some new ones, and when I opened either the refrigerator or the freezer door the eraser fell on the floor, no clue as to where it came from or why I had put it there.

I can't thank you, enough for your pictures of the car shows Kurt... I look at the many cars and say "if I had the money, I would buy it, and that one too" and it goes on. I would need a warehouse to store them all :D.

Hate when it happens Mark. Between my wife and I things get misplaced and not found until we don't need it anymore then it is right in front of us,:annoyed:. It's like the 10mm socket that always disappears into the 10mm black hole.:D

Sounds like you had a great trip Chuck. A lot of miles and glad you had a safe trip. that you got the Memorial Ride in for your friend Allen .

Chuck I second that. :amen: For the safe trip. And for managing that much time on a bike:thumbsup:

Seat is very comfortable. I sent it to a custom seat builder, Laam Custom seats in Redding, CA. He uses your stock seat pan and builds a custom, made for your specs seat, on a stock pan to insure it fits the bike perfectly. He wants your height, weight, and inseam length so he can make it fitted to you. Not cheap, but priceless all at the same time.

What kind of bike do you have Chuck. Any pictures of that seat. I can barely sit that long in my cars anymore. Let alone a bike. My neighbor has a Harley but complains about a sore rear end after a 250 mile run.

2014 Yamaha FJR1300. I'll take a couple of pics of the seat later when I get home from work and post them. I had this same seat on my 2007 FJR1300 and just sent it back to be freshened up after 9 years and about 140k miles. The man does great work but don't go to him expecting fast turn around time. One man shop and last I spoke to him, when he was finishing up my seat, he had about 120 seats in house waiting to be built and he really can only do one per day.

Well, I found the trimmer string. Right where it should be. Turns out I just forgot that Husqvarna uses a much smaller package for their string (gray colored) as opposed to most other brands who use a larger package and orange string. I knew I was looking for gray colored string...but looked right past the smaller package.

On the good news side, there were no ninja snakes waiting for me in the garage door track this morning - took out 1 on Saturday and 3 yesterday. I hate snakes!

I don’t like snakes either! I’m ok if I know it’s there but it’s the surprise that will ruin the fruit of the looms!!

    Here's my seat.

He built up the nose of the pillion seat to stop her sliding forward so much under hard braking. He built the nose up on my part to stop my sliding forward into the fuel tank so much but at the same time narrowed that portion somewhat to help with my reach to the ground. Graphite colored stitching to match with the silver portion around the fuel tank.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
I've got a sheep fleece seat pad on my Honda VFR800fi. (Sourced from outfit in Alaska)

Night and day difference in comfort over the bare seat.

I call her Molly, and I ride her hard '=)

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!

I'm OK with snakes in the wild - happy that they eat mice and other critters. Just don't want them hanging over my head and dropping down at random...sometimes hitting me on the way down.

    Good morning all!

Hoping to find some time later today to wash my bike. A lot of bugs died on this trip and most of their remains are splattered on my windshield and front end.
