Good morning. Off to the gym then grocery shopping. I have PT at 11:30 today. Crab legs and shrimp for dinner tonight. I need to get busy on a project in the garage but today it will be in the mid 90's.

 

sixtys/wannabes/heavy sweaters. I'm off to the dentist this afternoon to finally get my broken tooth fixed. It broke 3 weeks ago but they had no openings until now. I think they'd have gotten me in earlier if I was in pain, but fortunately I'm not. I have my mother's soft teeth and had a gazillion cavities filled when I was a wee tad. Now they're coming back to haunt me.

I got out of my boxing class and jumped in the truck. 122F on the dash display. Getting warm and not even August.
(Yesterday was 108F, and the truck sat in the sun for two hours while I was working out).

My daughter called me to borrow the battery tester. Her car was acting odd, with random dash lights, AC wasn't working, and funky shifting. Thankfully she has learned "modern cars, electrical acting odd, check the battery."

Ya, time for a new battery.

 

Afternoon all:
Took the dreaded monthly trip to Walmart around 1:30 today, the place was packed, geez, just seems like no one works anymore?

 

Walmart at 5:30 AM; HEB (grocery store) opens at 6 AM. Alas, the Pharmacy isn't open until 8:00 AM.

I hate crowds.

 

Agree Tom, WHEN I go there at 6 AM it's smooth sailing, but just happened that I decided to pick up a few things that I've been putting off and didn't think it would be that busy.
I hate crowds also, but when I used to go to the Carlisle car flea market, gun shows, or the PA Sportsmans show in Harrisburg, there was no getting around large crowds. I haven't been to any of them in quite a while, I do miss the shows but sure don't miss the crowds!

 

That is what I would like to know Carl . My local gun dealers always busy. His shop is open it is packed.. There is a fitness center where I go for PT and it is bustling with people . Even my local WAWA .
Did we do something wrong during our working career .

I left the hangar, and kept waiting for the truck to cool me off. I have an old Hawk temp gage on a vent. I was almost home, and realized it said it was blowing 45* air on me. And I wasn't cool yet!
Finished the yard work before 1 PM and 100* with a lot of breaks.
Putzed some chores until I got in the pool, which is 90*. Felt good, when I got out it was 104* out. We hit 105* at some point.
In the pool, I noticed that East gable insulation on the greenhouse had MELTED off. It's bubble wrap and duct tape, but it was all DEAD. I just fixed West two weeks ago, but it's falling. Will just go get some foam insulation board tomorrow, and get it redone next week. Sheesh.
97* now at 7:30, and that is the coolest it's been this time of night.
Oh yeah, I finally turned the sunroom fan to blow down.....

Like Kurt said, we went to work!
The local Walmart that I go to is a super Walmart, people come from miles around to shop there and the road leading to it is getting more and more businesses built along it, so much that they have been in the process of widening it to 3 lanes for about 3 years now, another cluster**** if you want to pass through there when they are working on it, our nice quiet rural area is no more!

 

Woo Hoo - AV8B Harrier makes a Smithsonian top 10 list. I worked on the FCEM (Flap Control Electronics Module) back in community college job based edu!
BTW, if you are on Spectrum Cable - next up at 9 CDT is the C-47 story I've been waiting for!

 

Younger grandson, 6 1/2 has had several cavities and one crown. He's got his momma's teeth. Simeon is good, so he must have his dad's teeth. Hope you got your tooth fixed.

Mowing day here, too. No rushing either - it's not going anywhere.
