Good morning. Interesting discussion on crowds when shopping. It needs to be a good reason for me to enter a retail shop on the weekend. The gym I go to is not packed but the parking lot always has 20 to 30 vehicles parked. One of my pet peeves is the number of handicapped parking places. There are two spots, and they are always taken by persons that have a disability. There needs to be more spaces but I am sure the shopping center is following county guidelines for the number of spaces. The calculations for the number of spaces is over 30 years old at this point. Not really a big deal but I just wanted to vent. ;)

Speaking of crowded shopping today is a Costco run to pick up my repaired eyeglasses. Oh fun oh joy.

Bring someone with you. Stop in front, leave them in the truck, run in, run out. No need to park. The optical shop is in front.

Good morning and happy Friday to you all! Pretty hot here in central PA but I really feel for you folks dealing with this triple digit stuff. Fortunate enough to work in an air conditioned office and shop so it's not awful. It is warm being on the motorcycle this time of year though. I still wear full gear regardless. Figured out a long time ago I'd rather sweat than bleed and sometimes shit happens that I can't control so gear up.

Just too hot to go camping, I told my son we need to spend a week in Death Valley. At least it will feel cooler when we get back to Texas!

I also went to the hearing aid department with a question. I did manage to pick up a few items, ;), which I may or may not have needed. They had skinless boneless chicken breasts for $6 off the pack. 24 chicken breasts for $19.38 was not too bad of a deal. I see some stir fry in my future.

Smoked a chicken this afternoon at 300 degrees. We are supposed to have thunderstorms after 5pm today. It id 4:15 and 92 in the back yard right now.

    Everyone have a nice weekend.

We find any kind of shopping later in the day is a pita. We do our supermarket food shopping at 7:00am in the morning, no lines, hardly anyone there, half hour and we have all we need for the week. Costco we get there a few minutes before they open and we have a list. We are in and out in no time and very very short lines. For Walmart we haven’t been in the store in over 6 months. Almost 100% of the items Walmart sells you can order on line. They deliver within an hour or two of the order. Even Costco you can order on line from the store almost everything they have and it is same day delivery. We do that more and more. Amazon is our friend too. Shopping the way we do allows us more time to do the things we love to do and avoid crowded stores and parking lots and heavy traffic and frustrations and especially allows us to avoid all the shit heads out there.

One of the guys I used to work with never wore his helmet.... we badgered him a LOT and he finally started wearing it - he's 78 now, and this was about 11 years ago, he had an idiot pull in front of him and he slid - he was wearing full gear, since it was cool out... He thanked us for making him wear his helmet. After that, he went out and bought some summer gear. Like you, he's rather be hot. Stay safe out there.

    evening boys....

:anonymous: if you haven't cleaned your dryer vent in awhile, might be a good idea to do it :anonymous:

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!! We do a lot of our shopping through Amazon, now. We do get most of our groceries at the local supermarket and use Costco for bulk items. For Costco we've started using their self-checkout phone app where you scan the items and pay with your phone bypassing the checkout lines. Works well.

Ken: I have used Costco online for a few items. Free shipping is always a plus. I use curb service pick up all the time with Lowes and BJ's club.

Mark: I will check into the Costco self-checkout app.

Good morning. Off to the gym and we are going to a mid-day concert at a local winery today. Everyone have a great weekend.

When talking about wearing a helmet or not when riding, my wife who worked in a hospital asks " when they bring a rider into the ER who wasn't wearing a helmet, what do they generally call them. An organ donor"

Cleaning out the dryer vent is a yearly function. I use a chimney brush and it does a good job . Better to be safe:D

Good morning all! Have a good day stay safe!

Crazy stuff went down in our community yesterday 3 officers shot 1 dead. 2 critical. Suspect dead and an innocent bystander shot. All while I was helping a neighbor move a shelf in his garage. He's retired special forces ATF and border patrol. He found out about the time we finished. Hearts out for the families of those involved.
