Thanks for the company information Ken
I will check them out because the prices for ammo here are all, over the place :annoyed:. Thanks.

We had a terrible tragedy with flooding about 10 miles from me. A family lost a Mom and 2 children 9 months and 2 yrs. It was a flash floods that caught them. Authorities said they have never seen a flash flood like this before. Prayers for the family .

Good Morning Porch Folks. Hope everyone has a safe day between the high temperatures and flooding caused by heavy rains.

A little something every chance we get.
Hard to imagine "flash flooding" in an area as lush as that. There are already so many waterways for water to go, it would seem impossible. I can believe them when they say it's never been seen before.
We are in "flash flood alley" in Central Texas - not from hurricanes usually, but flooded rivers and creeks that are normally dry or very low. Google 2015 Blanco River flood in Winberly for examples!

I remember my son telling me about that. (He's in San Antonio.)

The PA tragedy took place was in a narrow valley near the Delaware River. The stream that cut the valley was gorged with water from all of the runoff for miles upstream. A motorcyclist was caught in it and survived; he said the water rose 8 feet in about a minute.

The road they were on is called River Road because as Dave said it runs along the river. Very scenic on a nice day. The Delaware canal runs between the road and the river most of the way but I guess with all the rain it just couldn't handle it all. There has been flooding on the road in the past, but this was the worst..

I assume you are already using a heat gun?

Heat gun x2 most contact adhesive let's go with heat. If you redo it heat and a scraper to clean up residual. Possibly a little acetone or lacker thinner to finish before putting fresh glue use dowels for spaceers after coating both top and laminate with contact adhesive and letting it dry till mildly tacky pull one out at a time so it can be lined up before j-rooling it.

Evening Susan :hattip: for ammo, take a look at Ammunition Depot. They do ship and are located in Florida so if you don't get free shipping, the shipping won't be as high as from Utah. Their prices are reasonable. The more quantity you buy the cheaper the price.

Have a good evening and be safe.

I have have been using Blazer 9mm 115 fmj and have had no issues. I heard bad stories about Ammo Inc so I spend a little extra and go with Blazer. MagTech is a pretty good brand of ammo as well. I use the fmj for practice but carry with JHP which are a bit more expensive. What caliber are you looking for?

They are still looking for the 2 children.:pray::pray::pray::pray:. They have recovered five other people that were washed away. Tragic.

9mm on there site is .27 cents for 1000 rounds at $274.99. 357 mag on the other hand, runs about $40 for a box of 50...ouch. I have 100 for my 357 and enjoy shooting it but 9mm is more plentiful and cheaper :D. My local shop had a sale of Blazer 115 FMJ for 1000 rd. for $247.99 plus tax. Don't get out to the range as much as I like. Have a good evening.

Not a fan of the glock (357 sig) thing kicks like a mule. Love shooting the 9mm. Haven't shot in a long time - think it's time I went out.

I haven't been out in over a year. I like a large frame 9mm . It for me allows my wrist to last longer. I suffer from a level 4 collapsed wrist. I have a compensated barrel. It helps a lot I also have a heavier spring. That reduces the recoil to almost nothing. But with light loads it won't cycle well. For a good carry round. Look at liberty civil defense or ultra lights. Both will produce 2000 ftps and are fragmented. Not cheap. Reviews are good. I've hit a few bottles of water very impressive. I'm partial to Springfield armory.

When I bought my 9mm from HSL in May I paid $220 per thousand, 22 cents/round bought 5000 rounds. Their prices varies but compared to calif prices they are way cheaper. I’ve become a 9mm aficionado, I can shoot my 9’s all day long.
Sue, I know you shoot 9mm but it’s not clear to me if you also shoot 357 sig or 357 mag (2 totally different rounds/guns). If you have a 357 mag just shoot 38 spl with it. 38’s are way cheaper than 357 mags and they are as lethal. Some may argue that I know. Not only are 38’s cheaper they have less recoil which makes it easier and faster to line up subsequent shots and makes for better accuracy. If you have a 357 sig you can’t substitute 38’s. When I carried a 357 I loaded it with 38’s. Also the weight of the 357 mag gun also helps reduce felt recoil when using 38’s. Ok I’m done discussing guns/ammo. Have a nice evening all.
