When they fly by your head it sounds like a lower tone wasp. Glad they are fast cause I’m swinging..

Misting here this morning, supposed to have light rain at times. Are you a member of the Hummingbird Facebook group?

Good morning. I have an easy but busy day today. Two racks of ribs and the baked beans are on the smoker. Made baked beans and tomato soup yesterday. I still need to make some Mac and Cheese, when I get back from the gym, then place it on the smoker. Going down to sit with my lunch partner today while my cousin goes to the doctor. Parkinson's really has a firm grip on him now. They live with my cousin's older daughter, husband, and 3 children. Two years ago, the condo they own was hit by lightning and they might be able to move back in during October. Thought I would take a dinner down to them today. My cousin does not really cook all that well and the daughter will appreciate most of a dinner being delivered. Both her and her husband work full time jobs. Smithfield St. Louis ribs were on sale this past weekend for $1.97 a pound, limit 4 racks. I picked up 4 racks. ;) I will try to get pics later today.

    Good morning all.

When we were in Ohio Saturday morning the friends we were visiting had several hummingbirds visiting the feeder outside of their kitchen window. Very cool to see. Said they have to refill the feeder daily.

Good morning, Chuck. Sounds like you had a decent weekend. I also have a Hummingbird feeder but where my house is located the hummers are few and far between. No really large stand of trees nearby for cover and nesting.

My feeder is next to my tomato trees with metal supports.
The like to perch on the top and dive and drink and go back to the support.
    Makes them stay in view.
    Just changed the water ..

Great weekend, thank you. Perfect riding weather, near zero traffic except when in downtown Columbus and a bit on the PA turnpike close to home. Here's a few pics of some of the murals we saw.

Wheeling, WV one still in process. Pretty cool to watch one being worked on.

Cambridge, OH even the pick up window is painted on.

The above was on the wall of a nursing college in Columbus. One of the most lifelike murals I've seen yet. I saw this one online and made it a point to visit it.

I just submitted my second gallery of pics for scoring last night for the event I'm doing. By my count, if all are accepted I've now photographed 899 murals since January 2.

In Arizona we had many hummers. Moved to Tennessee and there are none, apparently. We are not far from SC, so I am a bit surprised that they are apparently there.

    Morning all:

Those are some really nice murals Chuck, that one on the nursing college is absolutely stunning.

You guys have humming birds, I have bears, wanna trade! Yesterday I looked out the front window around noon and saw a sow and a cub in the driveway of my neighbor's house across the street, then around 12:30 I was outside shooting the bull with my hunting buddy and they crossed my back yard, this morning the pond is down again! :annoyed:

Not sounding too good for your cousin Tom :(, can only wish for the best for him, hopefully one day they will find a cure for Parkinsons.

Hummingbird migration patterns have been shown to be correlated to future hurricane timing.

We have a lot of flowers for hummingbirds.

I've always wanted to try a canvas that big but never tried it. I had a commercial building that I could have used for a mural but was selling it so never wanted to jeopardize a sale by putting anything on it that a buyer might want to paint over. I shoulda done it...

All the best wishes and Prayers for Your lunch partner Tom. Parkinsons is a terrible disease to have because of the end result. Bless you for thinking of everyone and taking down food for them :fistbump:

WOW. Thanks for posting all the pictures Chuck. They are amazing. The talent that is out there painting the murals only beautifies the buildings. The Nursing College Mural is the best of the lot. So life like .
Thanks again for posting them up

    Thanks @BkerChuck for the pictures.

    Sorry about your friend @Devious6.

I seen a great accessory for my truck yesterday. Thought I was in a different part of the US.

    Afternoon all:

Nothings easy, looking around for lightweight jersey camo gloves for archery hunting, seems like no one carries them anymore. I used to see them all the time at gas stations, the last pair I bought was at an Exxon station 2 years ago and they no longer have them, of course, readily available on eBay, Amazon, and other online sources!
Need to hang a clothesline in the big garage to spray my hunting clothing with permethrin, usually I do It on an outside line, but don't want to take a chance with my outside kitties, it's deadly to cats while wet.

    Sounds like fun.

Scripps Ranch Trailer Trash cracks me up. Ed Ernst, my Father-in-Law, lived in Scripps Ranch, rebuilt after the fire, hated USAA, but got it rebuilt. When he wasn't running seven miles on the beach, golfing, or organizing the next OCS reunion (Class of 1956?), he was always busy. Sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago. Services were at Miramar. Always a Marine.

All trailers leak! They need annual sealing unless stored in a barn.

My wife wants another Golden; I'm very happy with our two.

We lost our last dog four years ago. Great dog in a pretty spectacular run of good dogs. But I found having a single dog sooooo much better than having multiples. I got talked into three at a time when the kids were at home and 14 years of that nonsense was enough to cure me.

I loved having five. This is our five residents; each would step forward, take a lick, and then step back.

Sandie (closest to the sink) was Momma dog to all and would growl and younger puppies (towards the table) if they took more than one lick. She kept the kids in line! It made life easy to train other dogs who didn't know how to be dogs. With the rescue, lots of medical and training, so they knew the basics before moving on to the forever families.

It was teaching them impulse control and good manners.

Sandie lived 13.5 years; Emily, My redhead, passed before her 10th birthday; Bob (Great Pry/Golden Retriever mix) lived 17.5 years. The two youngest are now Leia, six and Xena, five. At one point, we had five residents and four fosters. The youngest two were approved by Bob, who was quite selective in his acceptance.
