Glad you had a great time Jim :D. Many of our favorite groups have lost members to the band. It is coming to the time when the song "The Day the Music Died" is getting closer .

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/rock n' rollers. Rain finally arrived, remnants of Philippe this time. Not a problem, I have indoor projects.
Wow, looks like a great show! I had to look up the band members to see if Ringo's son Zak was the other drummer. Doesn't look like it though.

We went to a concert at our local college last week. "The Wallflowers" was the band, I had never heard of them. They were LOUD but the music was pretty good and the guitarist was super talented. I looked them up later and found out the lead singer is Bob Dylan's son Jakob. I had no idea! I've been streaming their music since we saw them and it's much nicer at a lower volume -- and when I can understand the lyrics! :)

I don't see your truck listed, but what I got was so cheap you could rough and paint. But, they might just come in your color. Google this: paintable door handle covers for Tacoma truck

:quickdraw: HOOK 'EM Porch Pals & Sue! Time for the Red River Shootout, which is what it used to be called. Only game in NCAA where the seats are 50/50, and maybe someday I will see that in person. (It's a crowded PITA, so I'll be sure to be rich and privileged!) That's it. My whole plan for the day. Tomorrow, maybe I do something.

Does anyone remember when Steve Martin was with the Nitty Gritty Dirt band. He was with them for a short time, played banjo. I have a 3 record set from the 70's with him on the cover.

Saw Ringo and the **All Star** band quite a few years ago at Wolf Trap in Virginia, amazing show then.
Good morning. I think we are off to a mid-day music performance by a local artist. I saw some snacks in the fridge yesterday.

I’m an old rock and roll guy (and country), 50’s, 60’s and some 70’s. I’ve been on a mission for the last 15 years or more ,to see all the old rock groups I can before they are completely gone. Most groups do not have all the original members but ain’t nothing to be done about that. To mention a couple I’ve seen in the last 10 to 15 years include Three Dog Night i think they had all the original members, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Temptations, KC and the Sun Shine Band , Jimmy Buffett, Eric Burdon , Santana, and many many others. I saw Bob Seger on his very last tour about 5 years ago (he’s one of my all time favorites). And the list goes on and on. Although I’ve seen a lot of Tribute bands I really just want to see old groups that have at least one original member before they and me are gone.

Ordered some kielbasa from my favorite butcher shop in New York City. Recieved it in 1 and a half days and it is some of the best I have had.20231007_105829.jpg

They do the entire process including smoking in their shop.

Steve is an accomplished banjo player, plays in both styles, Clawhammer and 3 finger picking. He also plays with the steep canyon rangers. And has written new bluegrass songs. He has been on the grand old opry. I would love to see him in concert.

Well, that was another wild one! But, I'll still make some sausage wraps, have some more beer, watch more games, and OU STILL sucks!

I saw him in the regular seats (audience) at the Stones concert in LA in 75. Ron Wood had just joined the band.

We see a lot of the old bands ourselves. Always a good show!

Good morning. Off this morning to help my cousin move furniture back into her condo. It was involved in a lightning strike 26 months ago. When the firefighters uncovered asbestos the renovation process started. The Condo BOD cost the tenants about a year's delay moving back in with their inability to manage the restoration process. Then it is off to a concert at Merriweather Post Pavillion wher the headliner is Jelly Roll. As usual I will be the designated driver. I do not expect to get back home till around midnight.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! A beautiful 52* sunny degrees, with a high only near 80*. A "fall" day! Put my washer nozzles back on the truck, clean off the white stuff, get a propane tank exchanged, and get some cash for firewood. A Putz if there ever was one!
