Marine - thank you for your service! A word on Parkinson’s. First excuse my language but fuck Parkinson’s . I hate that disease. I have a couple people close to me who have it and I have researched it quite extensively. I could about write a book on it as you probably could too. Let me just say a couple things about it. Exercise and PT may be the most effective thing you can do to keep it at bay. Lots of exercise appears to delay its progression better than almost anything else including medication. You don’t have to go overboard with the exercise but you should do as much as possible daily. Just plain walking is excellent even if you have to use a walker. A stationary bicycle is another good exercise. Or a 3 wheel bicycle. Also Work out with light or moderate weights. A pair of 5 or 10lb weights/dumbbells is just fine. Squeeze a pair of hand grips a couple hundred times during the course of a day. As we age we naturally lose muscle strength and once lost it’s hard to get it back. Parkinson’s accelerates the muscle mass loss but exercise helps to maintain strength and muscle mass. If there is a Parkinson’s boxing class near you, join it. It is outstandingly excellent. Being a former boxer I have assisted in the classes. It will really help you both physically and mentally. It’s not boxing in the usual sense but you do lace up the gloves and you get to hit things. It’s amazing what it can do for you. And it’s fun. Also if you have access to a pool that is super exercise for Parkinson’s. You don’t have to swim but just walking in 3 or 4 feet of water really helps.
One other thing I highly recommend is acupuncture. I’ve seen good results with it. You just have to find a good acupuncturist and that’s not always easy.
I won’t get into medication and other medical treatments, that’s for you and your doctor to discuss. I hope some of this helps. God bless you and being a Marine kick Parkinson’s ass. Oh and lastly Ive seen pics of your kitty cat in he cat thread. He’s a cutie. Cats and dogs can also really help you mentally. The love you give them and they give you is amazing. Keep him close to you. (I believe you named him Gunny)

What did you use to clean the headlights. I once had an old school mechanic tell me to use a Lime or Lemon along with Baking Soda and a buffer.

Dr Harrison Prichard, his wife is in Bible study with my wife. Really nice guy. It was a fund raiser for our Newman Center. Fr. Mike Schmitz was the key note.

    Marine,
Not sure if it would work for Parkinson's but find a place that offers PEMF if you don't have a pacemaker my wife and I found. This at a place here that offers HOCATT and hyperbarics my wife has been in almost constant pain since her broken hip. In February. This is not covered by insurance but the cost here anyway is responsible. I'm not sure if you can find anything like this in your area. About 8 treatments gone except some slight directionial movement pain, but the constant deep dull ache.

My wife has a 2012 RAV4 and I have a 2014 Tacoma, both had cloudy lenses. I did some sanding and finished with emery cloth as fine as I could get at Lowe's. After that I put Lamin-X film over the front surfaces. That has worked for several years now and shows no signs of clouding over. Soapy water, a carefully used heat gun on low and installation was a bit frustrating and was not easy, nor was the result absolutely perfect (if you are kind of picky as I am and you got real close). It dried clear as glass. I did the same with the 3rd break light on the Tacoma. Both are outside, unshaded, 365 days per year.
As with everything I do, the second car was easier and better quality work than the first. Mrs JGO"s was second, of course.

    Cool.
Camp stoves. The old classic Svea 123 has an SRV (Safety Release Valve) that uses a 5 sided "Allen Wrench". A sharp edged, thin metal, 'screw'. (Take my word for it, too much to explain)
My point is, a guy sells Torx bits to access them. The rounded inside corners of the Torx can break the screw mentioned above if the screw is tight in the threads. Which many are because they have not been serviced in decades.
The proper tool needs sharp edges.

Morning Murray, the name doesn't ring a bell for me, but I will ask the Mrs. She worked with a lot of Docs in her career. Thanks for letting me know his name.

Bosche buffer, Lake Country CCS orange foam pad and Menzerna Power Gloss polishing compound. Followed up by Fusion full synthetic wax. Used Frog masking tape to protect the truck paint. My sister was pleased with the final outcome.

Good morning. Slept in and now on my way to the gym. Finally, was able to install the burner tubes in the Weber grill I am rebuilding. I had a burner hold down screw and a gas orifice bracket thumb screw that were a real PITA to remove. I should finish this project up today. I just found out we are going out to dinner tonight. My plans for today have changed.

Here in Middle Tennessee area especially in Hendersonville Tn / Old Hickory lake they have a huge problem with an over population of deer . I used to live there and at any time you could have up to 30 deer in your front or rear yard

Even driving thru this area at night on the dark unlit streets along the shore of Hickory lake there was a great risk of having one of these deer jumping out in front of your car

    Thanks for the info !!

My family lived on Old Hickory Lake and I went to school in Hendersonville. Dad owned a restaurant/oyster bar across and down the street from the Ryman Auditorium. We used to sneak in and play tag in the bleachers while people rehearsed on stage.

@US Marine The screenshots from Swanson Hyperbarics I added to a previous post is from business here in town it is run by a Dr, the people have to be screened or seen before starting any of the treatments.
If you look up PEMF you will find a lot of sites wanting to sell devices. This is not that. It kinda feels like a TENs unit but it is not that. Pacemakerers and cocular implants would disqualify you. So if you look into this I just want to make you aware of potential BS. They also have have on their site info for veterans for grants to pay for some of their treatments.
