:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! More productive than I thought yesterday; windshield trim, antenna, grill, tailgate, roll up tonneau, and bed rail covers all off. Just the flares today. AFTER the crates finally move first thing. Wife finally feels up to it. Have a great day all!

Went duck hunting yesterday. A blue bird day. No weather, no rain, no wind, no ducks.
    IMG_0938.jpg
After a totally zero duck morning decided to see if we could find some pheasants. Walked a lot of miles but good fortune smiled on us. Flushed several hens and ended up with 2 roosters. I can barely move today from all the walking through the brush. Dog wants to go again.

That, dirty , rugged, broken off road look! (?)

Going to take more than one brush wash to clean to the paint! You can see the original color - it matches the new hood and roof.

    Extra parts!

    20231128_153147.jpg

LOL! I'll clean the undersides of the flares Thursday. Tailgate will get stripped when there is a new one installed to replace it. I just bet it's going to take longer to get it put back together! Whaddyathink?

I've been wanting to put some aftermarket flares on but I've ordered two sets and they both had issues so sent them back. Are you going to put the stock flares back on?

Yup, I have all the little blue and orange tabs, and I will rebuild (epoxy) the broken remnants, and beat some aluminum scrap into fake repair parts, which will get epoxied back in place. Worked once, and I can do it again.

I wonder if the painter will tape up the rubber trims on those flares or peel them off when painting; you might have to replace them if he removed them. I had to change mine when the front end of the truck got upgraded, I couldn't stick them back to the flares.

Changed the dryer vent yesterday with better everything. Tight space. Didn't want to move washer, so pull out dryer, climb over. Good thing I'm skinny. Good opportunity to clean behind, check and clean the second story outside damper from the inside. Changed the power plug to a better Hubbell, noticed original getting warmer than normal, can't take it apart and fix anything. Glad I'm still able to do this stuff. 78 this month, have to close one eye to do anything. Wife says quit winking at her, unless I mean it. :D

    Good morning all. :pccoffee:

Ordered a remote start kit for the Tacoma last night. Finally had enough of trying to leave for work in the morning trying to see out through a small portion of defrosted windshield.

When I left the house this morning it was 22 with a real feel of 14 or 15. I did NOT ride the bike to work this morning.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/shiverers. Nippy here too today; we have ice on the pond for the first time this season. I was going to do the final yard cleanup today, but it's supposed to be sunny and warmer tomorrow -- and I'm retired! -- so that chore will wait. I cleaned the woodstove window, FINALLY, and started a fire. Mostly we've started fires in late afternoon, but today it'll feel good to have one going throughout the day.
