I'm 73 and work out of the bed of my first Tacoma. I clean drains and sewer lines. I really like the Tacoma A guy is putting black Naugahide seats in it. Took it by today and they took the passenger seat out to cover it, then brought it back installed passenger black leather-looking seat on the driver's side and take the driver out, and let them finish. Not going to do back fold-down seats probably spray paint them black. I leave them folded.

Pulled my ladder this morning in the archery only zone of the watershed I hunt.
If I go back in, I'll hunt from the ground floor.

    Evening all:

Welcome to the porch Morton, good group on here with many varied interests. Pics. are always welcome, and it's your turn to fill up the cooler.

That's a nice woods there bucktales, not many places like that around here anymore. I see there are quite a few rocks there also, darn glacier!
How do you like that deer cart, we fabricated ours to use 26" cart wheels and made them high enough to go over stumps, small downed trees, and rocks like you have the cart resting on, only negative is that my buddies is higher than mine and will tip over on occasion. We thought about fabricating one similar to the one you have, and using the 26" cart wheels, that would lower the center of gravity but still afford plenty of ground clearance.

Mine is an old Cabelas one about 18 years old.
It's solid and hauled a lot of deer, has ground clearance, but is tipsy.
Usually flips over several times a haul due to terrain.
I load the deer "tongue heavy". Seems easier to haul than having more weight at the other end and fighting it.
I'm used to it flipping. Tells me it's time for a break.

Thanks for the reply, thought for sure that that type of cart wouldn't be too tipsy, we are usually good for 2-3 flips also.
We don't have to flip it to take a break, we just take 5 steps and stop, maybe 6 if we're in a hurry! o_O :laughing:

I just ran into this story and had to post it...

Henry Ziegland thought he had dodged fate.

In 1883, he broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who, out of distress, committed suicide. The girl's brother was so enraged that he hunted down Ziegland and shot him.

The brother, believing he had killed Ziegland, then turned his gun on
himself and took his own life. But Ziegland had not been killed. The bullet, in fact, had only grazed his face and then lodged in a tree. Ziegland surely thought he was a lucky man.

Twenty years later, however, Ziegland decided to cut down the large tree, which still had the bullet in it. The task seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with a few sticks of dynamite.

The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland's head, killing him.

Killed by the same bullet that had been shot at him... twenty years before.

I had the surgery about a year and a half ago. Had the long-distance lens put in but, still need reading glasses. Having to wear glasses since 3rd grade, i take my corrected vision prescription to have a dedicated set of reading glasses. The Costco price is not bad at all. I just finished a quick laser proceedure to take care of fuzzy long-distance vision, which is a common occurrence after the cataract surgery.

Wish I had sprung for the lenses that corrected both long and short vision correction for the eyes. The cost was substantially more. I have to say the doctor and the practice that does the surgery makes the biggest difference. All of my follow up work has only cost a normal copay of $20 per visit.

Good morning, Mark. Hope your day is a good one.

Not much going on today. Costco run to pick up glasses and put the outdoor furniture cushions away for the winter.
