Good Morning Everyone Have a Great Friday!
I forget some of us still work, some days I wish I did. But I like retirement too, maybe find something for a day here or there. I guy I used to work with at the Chrysler dealership found a nice gig writing parking tickets at one of the colleges in the area, he's had both of his shoulders done twice. But he and his wife like RV camping so he does that just to keep him busy.and extra gas money.

-I feel for you Carl. At 68 years old, I still work a full time job at a software company and could NOT do my job without having a cell phone, due to multi-factor authentication to log in here and there. In a lot of ways, we are blessed to have been baby boomers and seen all of the technological advance over time. Other times, it's a PITA.

-My kids pick on me because I still pay some bills using stamps and a mail box.

-Forgot to mention another pet peeve. The new parking meters in which you need to down load an app to pay online. You'll spend a good 20 minutes standing there trying to figure out what's needed to get set up. It's one of those moments that you wish we'd go back to simpler times. :)

Yup, I'm a couple years behind you, also in technology, and 2FA/MFA is essential for what I do as well. In addition, I use it where possible to secure all of my financial accounts; in fact, I've moved money out of accounts which do not feature 2FA as I just don't want to deal with the additional risk.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals and Sue! Much, much better still this morning. I did move empty boxes to the garage, got ice for the turkey and moved the cooler, and putzed, and made some burgers. So Better than the day before! Going to get the old tailgate out of the bed at the recycling yard, errand or two, then come back to either "mow" or cut down boxes. Sleeping in until my body was happy was helpful!

    I'm with you!

I'm the opposite, getting out of the house and doing something physical is a nice break and keeps me from getting fat. :-D

Started collecting SSI in October, since it's my first year I went with monthly instead of annual assessment (Annual would be "oh you already make too much money, you get nothing.") If I make more than $1700/month I get no SSI check. They want us to stay poor LOL . . . This continues until mid-February at which point I could make up to 50K. Yay me LOL

So I was forced to go part time (or less when I get a bonus) and thought I would go mad. But you know what?

I'm starting to like it, I always have stuff to do. Maybe liking it a little bit too much LOL

    Morning all:

    I do that also!

The thing that got me the most, it was WAY easier to get a much larger check issued by the broker than it was to get a small check issued by the credit card co., both of them are through Bank Of America owned entities. :notsure:

LOL! I picked up a Discount Tire card for my purchase next week, because I'll take 5% off. Same bank owns the Lowe's card I have. You'd think they'd know that with the personal information. Nope, HARD pull and every credit service alarm went off. For a $2K limited card! I'm sure the credit services will think poorly of me for months again!

:amen:, it's totally a PITA for me. I do also pay bills by mail 'cause I don't like
people walking all over my near empty bank account
although that's only my wishful thinking!
