No worries... I just feel bad for people that have a long list of foods they won't eat. Best thing my parents ever did for me was insist that I eat one bite of anything that was served, so I developed a wide and deep range of appreciation for a variety of foods. The only thing I will not eat is green Jello or similarly tasting green Kool-Aid.
I had a very good friend for about thirty years that was always turning his nose up at any meal he had at our house even though we traded invites for those decades. Why he and his wife came to have dinner every other week is beyond me because he never seemed to like anything we cooked. And the entire time I thought he was just being a dick and overly critical. After we stopped communicating due to them both getting politically extreme I found out that he had a very long list of foods he thought were too gross to eat. They had never communicated that to us. I guess we should have stuck to hamburgers and French fries or mac'n'cheese or something.

Oven cleaner..... Lye soaked for hours and I'm not sure how it's cooked but it's gelatinous when done.a lot of people around here love the crap. It's an acquired taste. I went to a coworkers party once he had African food... He raved about this desert I just had to try, I asked what it was flour, hot water and salt. It tasted like play dough.

I'll try a lot of things, something about fishy smells that starts a gag reflex for me, I don't care for liver plane but I've had it a dish. I mean when I went to that guy's place he had a lot of African food I tried a few things that didn't have fish. He had something with goat or lamb I don't remember but it was ok and they had some salad things that I normally would not have paired but his daughter graduated from HS and only 3 of us guys showed up. Most couldn't stand the stuff he would bring for lunch. I helped him put in railing and stair rails after a section broke/ the contractor did a horrible job, that was never solid. We got it solid and safe again.,even though we had a language barrier he was a good guy.

Lutefisk, gaggggggg. I’m 100% Norwegian, my lineage goes back to the Vikings, lutefisk is a Norwegian/scandinavian delicacy but that crap will never pass these lips. I remember my mother served that a couple times when I was a kid. I didn’t eat it then , ain’t eating now. I’m a foodie will eat almost anything. Love fish, seafood, shellfish but hold the lutefisk. I’m sure my Viking ancestors are frowning on me. (Even our dog wouldn’t eat lutefisk and he’d eat anything, the rottener and stinkier the better but he wouldn’t eat lutefisk)

    Afternoon all:

Hoping for the best for you! :fingerscrossed:

Not a fussy eater here, but the one thing that I'm not particularly fond of is a gut shot deer. It seems like no matter how much you try to clean it off the meat it will still have a smell and a strong taste. It does not harm you, but something to try to avoid if at all possible, the highest percentage of it happening is when shooting at a running deer.

Your dog may not eat it, but he would probably roll in it and jump in the car or on your lap and act like ''hey I smell pretty good, do you like my new perfume.'' We had a dog when I was growing up that would find something dead, fish, animal and roll on it didn't matter and hop in the car or jump on the couch next to you just as proud as can be.

All of my dogs have loved to roll in nasty, rotten putrid stuff, especially dead putrid stuff. They all seem very proud of themselves afterward. My current dog got skunk sprayed a couple years ago while pheasant hunting. He took a full shot in the face and shoulders. Got back to the truck and when I opened the rear door he leaped in and started rolling around in the back seat. Every once in awhile I still get a slight whiff of skunk.

Not always, the damn dog we had was a toy poodle mix, I think it's a dog thing. It found a carp that was laying by the bank in 95* weather and was decomposing really bad. My poor dad was puking as he was trying to clean up the dog.

 Laughing at the dog stories!

I had a beagle mix that did that once, saw him rubbing his neck in something that was the consistency of grease and stank like heck, had a jeep at the time and he had to ride back home with me, and of course he had to be all over me :annoyed:. I still have no clue as to what it was, I tried to wash it off with water at the lake but it was just like grease and the water didn't even phase it, and as far as I know no grease has a rancid smell like whatever he found had.
