    Welcome @BudMan5

Good morning. Slept in late today. 30 degrees at 09:00. We picked up about 4 in of snow in my yard. Yesterday's pork shoulder cook came out great. I am liking the Meater probe more every time I use it. Total cook time was 9 and a half hours and add on a rest for a total of 11 hours. The second pic is after an hour and a half rest. I would have liked to let it rest another hour, but dinner was calling.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Just broke 20* this morning, but the sun is out - might get to 33*! Had a first yesterday; noticed that the pool did not seem to be circulating, but I could hear the pump. Running, but not going anywhere. First time ever, the tank valve apparently froze up! 10 minutes of a heat gun didn't do anything, so I undid some fittings, and turned it off. Covered with a shipping blanket until it thaws.... even ran the pump on mid speed, not low!

Ceramic place will be open to drop off truck today, so we're headed out in a bit.

….and that’s where we’re headed next. I wasn’t really expecting the Bucs to win let alone put a beat-down on the Eagles like they did. No one in the Eagles secondary seemed interested in tackling. May be another story in Detroit.

7°F at 0530. It's been cold so far this winter, but not a lot of snow means less driveway work. Only one push broom sweep-off so far. Genny cycled 11am yesterday... checks everything, reports any issues, reassuring. Propane level ~65%. Went over the tank, lines, etc. with a sniffer. No leaks.

I have a question for the wise folks. What is the proper amount of time to turn in a resignation, small business. Daughter is getting grief, turned in her resignation yesterday, will stay through the end of February. Her boss is giving her grief for leaving him hanging. Looking for opinions

Perhaps I'm old school but I've always believed 2 weeks notice to be reasonable. Never heard of an employer giving 2 weeks notice to fire you.

Six weeks? Seems way too long for me. If the boss being an ass is the problem, and they are upping their game due to her leaving, I don't see she has any obligation to stay the whole six weeks. Two weeks notice is usual.

I amm hoping for a tight game. The only ones happy with a blowout is the fans of the team on the winning side. All other football fans with no team playing look for something else on the tube. Even the announcers have a hard time making a blowout interesting. Go Lions!

2 weeks unless you are retiring from work. FWIW I hope your daughter was vested for any benefits in the future. Sounds like she is making a good decision.

Good morning. A balmy 12 degrees here in Maryland this morning. Music is via Zoom today, so I do not have to go outside.

jwctaco, If it’s an abusive situation, walk out and report to the state board. The actual times can very by state, but no one should put up with abuse. Two weeks is plenty IME.

“We’re having a heat wave. A tropical heat wave.” Its a balmy 17 outside this morning! Oh yeah! Nice! Suppose to hit 41! Workout day!
