Those petroglyphs are cool, nothing like that around here.
Our area is loaded with Indian artifacts, guys surface hunt them in plowed fields and there are loads of them still buried in the ground that some guys prefer to dig for.
One thing fairly common out West is obsidian points, here it's mainly flint or jasper since there's no source for the obsidian.

Late to the party...... 2 weeks is normal. Tell boss I'm giving you time to find someone to replace me and train. Leaving you hanging would be if I left tomorrow..... wish her good luck.

    Great pics.

Ha! There was a big ram a few years ago that was hanging out at a rest stop on I-70 as the highway passed through the San Rafael Swell. He was doing pretty well, perhaps better than was healthy, on the treats people gave him. I think they are getting more numerous recently after being impacted by diseases brought in by sheep.

Her boss is being an ahole. 2 weeks is normal notice. Your daughter is giving 6+ weeks. Her boss should feel fortunate he got that long of a notification. He should be praising her. Poor management on his part. Even a small business should have contingency plans for when an employee has an emergency or terminates their employment. A person also has to be somewhat cautious giving too much notice. I’ve known owners/managers that get pissed off when someone gives notice and they can make a persons life hell and even let them go early. Your daughter is obviously a good conscientious employee. She can feel good about herself.

In my world you give a 2 weeks notice some places just about escort out the same day even if you have a toolbox the size of a truck. I told the kids if they were leaving just come in with a trailer and load up.
If he wants to be that way, secure your other job and just don’t go back.. You owe them nothing

That’s plenty of notice. Probably too much. Is it a small private company or large corporation?
I work for a large health system and have been training my replacements for the last 4 months. I’m taking twelve weeks of paid FMLA then burn off my PTO. It’s use it or lose it. Then it’s official retirement. 42 years.
