Weather was a bit disappointing yesterday, ie, weathermen were wrong again! As an engineer, if I had been wrong as often as weathermen, I would never have kept my job…LOL! Oh well, I kicked my butt with kettlebells! Caught up on some reading. Shoveled a bit of snow. Wifey made some delicious tacos for dinner the granddaughter and I really enjoyed!
OK weathermen, you claim the sun is coming out today! Prove it! Show me! I need to get outside and shovel some snow!
Wishing some sunshine today in everyone’s life!

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Not as bright today, a little cooler, and the wind is dying down. Nice week overall though. Need to takes some classes and tests for the CAF today, so a partly cloudy day seems good for that.

Wow we had a heck of a storm yesterday. Several inches of rain in various areas, whiteout conditions in the Sierras. The winds here in the valley 65mph+, over 100 mph on the mountain peaks, multiple feet of snow. 650000+ households lost power, thousands of trees throughout the state blew down. In Modesto over 20 power poles blew down on the same highway.
We were fine, never lost power (got a generator if that happens). Some of the patio furniture blew around the yard and it’s not light weight furniture. I had custom fitted covers on the patio furniture to protect them in the winter and some of the covers are just gone, probably in the next county. Blew over some potted plants that are in huge decorative pots that with the wet dirt weigh over 200 lbs. I’ve seen several fences blown down. Today just cloudy and occasional showers, no wind. All is good.
I’m off to an eye doctor appointment, and then a little shopping. Making pulled pork for sandwiches tonight. Stay safe out here all.

    Evening all:

Glad to hear that you didn't end up with any major damage from the storm, sounds like CA is getting some crazy weather patterns.

Just after a couple of days of rain in San Diego and being indoors. I can't imagine being in a snowed in area of the U.S. Already have cabin fever!
There's only so many batches of soup I can make. Today I made Albondigas, yesterday Fideo. Tomorrow a pot of beans with a ham hock.
At least I am making use of my time getting ready for some painting upstairs.

Unusually warm weather here in Michigan for February. Upper 30s and low 40s, feels like spring even though it won't last. 50s by weeks end and then back into the 20s and 30s next week. But I'll enjoy it while I have it. Hoping for an early spring this year.

Saw the carnage on the news. Glad you are ok. Hope the eye doc appointment went well.

Good morning. Was sort of a busy day yesterday. Lots of cooking in the kitchen and finished off the chicken and pork balls on the smoker. Today will be a quiet day. Might start to prune back the knockout roses back.

This must be another great day…why you ask?…because I’m still alive and doing well!
My heart goes out to you West coast folks. Brutal weather!
Weathermen here are predicting cloudy, or sunny, or partly cloudy and somewhere between 44 and 55! Who knows? Whatever I’m ready to either get outside or stay in the garage or basement doing some chores.
Everyone make the most of your day and stay safe!

Good Morning Everyone, Have a Great Day!
Sounds like we're all getting weird weather. Yesterday they said we set 26 new record warm temps. 3/4 were morning highs. Ice fisherman aren't happy, if it wasn't for the 2 weeks of negative temps I think they could've had boats out most of the time, some did earlier before that cold snap. just stay safe and smart. we've made it this far in life, by now we should have the wisdom from experience and just enough cockiness of our youth to still take a few calculated chances.
