Off to see the eye surgeon again in a few days. First surgery was partially successful. Double vision is somewhat better, but I'll probably need another surgery. Surgeon hinted at it, last visit. Meanwhile, think positively, life goes on. Better winter weather lately helps. It's a long trip, and we have to rely on others to get us there and back. DIL, SIL have been the prime movers so far. We're grateful to say the least, but they have their own issues, so my wife will probably pick up the slack, as usual. Life goes on.

Good morning everyone, have a great day,
This winter in North Dakota has been crazy, good, there is no snow in my yard. The last of it melted last night. I know we're expecting cooler temps next week but it will still be above normal.

Looks delicious. What is the coating on the filets?

Good morning. Lots of food discussions and pictures this morning. Harris Teeter has pork shoulders on sale for 97 cents a pound today. A limit of two shoulders. I will pick up two and have them cut into steaks.

Another great day on the horizon! Driving a ways this morning to meet a bud for breakfast. We meet every couple of months to catch up. Fun time!
Weather is a bit unsettled, but a high of 49 supposedly, but you know how wrong weathermen can be!
Have an enjoyable day what ever you do and stay busy!
Oh, I kicked my 76 yo butt on kettlebells yesterday! I was pretty worthless the rest of the day! Ugh! This getting old isn’t for sissies.

Somehow, my Mrs ended up at her eye doctor's office (older fellow who now has a retirement gig mostly as an eyewear provider) - calling me because he had dilated both her eyes, took one look and told her to go directly to a retina specialist. I went over, picked her up and crossed town to the specialists office - where they were waiting! Over the afternoon - they "repaired" her right eye with a laser - and arranged for her to return the next morning for a surgical repair of the left eye. Near miss. So I've been chief cook and bottle washer for a week - no food poisoning to report.

Yesterday the surgeon told her that the right side repair is holding - shes been lying on her face for week, trying to stay still. Up about once an hour for 10 minutes or so. He says it will take a year for that side to heal and she may not get full sight back in that eye. Also told her she could go back to her office on Monday next - and drive(!). He told me to get her on the road here in the neighborhood and let her try out the lack of depth perception situation. Sounds scary.......

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Haircut and quick errand is all. Water stuff when I get home - plenty warm to do it as we'll be somewhere in the 70's!

Sorry, @GREENBIRD56 ! What a discovery! Best wishes for the wife.

I feel for everyone that is struggling with health issues either for themselves or a loved one. When we were young we thought we were almost invincible, now we see how fragile we are. But with a little more respect towards others. Hell I still think I can do things that my body says idiot. Your almost 67, and on a good day it will let me open a new jelly jar. That's been that way for a while, with the twisting motion. But I can pick up well over 90lbs without the tork on my wrist.
