Sorry to hear this, but keep your head up, there’s a light somewhere down that tunnel.

 

Just remember the drawers aren't full till it's difficult to open and close them without pushing stuff around. At our age that bottom drawer collects the stuff that's seasonal or doesn't fit at this time. So the upper ones take the punishment.

I got volentold I get to take my wife's friend to a clinic appointment. I don't mind that much, except the time, right during the morning rush. My wife has a Monday morning commitment, otherwise she would have done it.

I can't like your post but I can sure say it makes me sad. We had a black Lab and a Beagle (she was a good dog - for a Beagle) both of whom became ill and died with a month of each other. We had to euthanize both, one of my hardest decisions. I still miss them both, especially that Lab who was my constant companion and got me up off my *** to walk a couple times per day. That mutt and his Frisbee.

 

This was probably Safety second or third. Being on a ladder itself is unsafe. As someone smarter than me has said "If it was safety First nothing would get done".

Being in construction my entire life, safety is a huge concern. Retired know, safety has come a long way. When I started, 50 years ago, safety was a joke. You were lucky to find a grounded extension cord, let alone a face mask. Ladders are safe if used properly and are in good working order.

 

sixtys/wannabes/storytellers. The past couple of days' posts have made for a pretty tough read. I was reminded of difficult times we've been through; even though they're behind us there is always something there that can bring them back to mind. Best wishes and positive vibes to all of you who are in that position.

 

Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! Off to the Ortho for follow up today; suppose we'll find out about her surgery schedule. I managed to lather and rinse the vehicles with just hoses, and minimal wiping. Car cleaned up nicely - truck was not as cooperative. But the pollen and mess is off. Ribs don't hurt as much as they had, so it must be time to get moving.

 

We are going to have a interesting day weather wise. High of 62 low of 12 tomorrow morning it will be 8 with wind-chills -20. Woo hoo
