60+ year old thread.

Strange weather day yesterday. Beautiful sunrise, then clouded up and snowed, then finally the sun came out and melted most of the snow by the end of the day. Very windy and cold though all day. 13* now. Sunny and 51* today with light breezes.

Oh I’m excited…kettlebell day! Then nap time! LOL!
Wifey made me a rear curtain for my Super Pacific yesterday. I hope to install it today. Grandson and his bud asked me to supply them on a Wind River Range CDT backpack trip in August, so I am starting plans for that. Probably a week long trip starting near Atlantic City, WY and ending a week later maybe 100 miles (by the trail) north of there. Should be a fun campout/fishing trip for me.
Last August I did the same for him in Colorado from Twin Lakes to Monarch Pass. Took lots of hikers’ garbage (they loved not having to carry it) and handed out peppermint candies (they also loved that!)

Got all the branch messes cleaned up, and now they are calling for strong winds this afternoon, maybe I'll get lucky, maybe not!

 

Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! It is surgery day for the wife, off to Austin in a couple hours. Sounds like fun.... Took 4 attempts to fix what was a drip leak in an outdoor spigot yesterday. By the time I got that replacement trimmer assembled, I had had enough. Oh well.

I know that this isn't that kind of site, but here's some pics of my wife's parts!




Titanium. Currently in the recliner, sling, splint, on ice. Compression sleeves on both calves (that stay on any time not moving), and the pain block injection will probably wear off around midnight. I have pills ready at her side. Chicken noodle soup, and some crusty French bread for dinner.

 

Ouch, can't like that.

 

Wind got our awning over the side door today, it's toast. Just gonna get a new one.
