One of the things about a chainsaw mill is you don't move the logs. You bring the mill to the logs. I have 5' can't hooks just to roll the logs as needed, easy peasy.

Today was Glock day. Took a couple of my Glocks to the range for a little practice. Ain’t hard to go through 300+ rounds. I try to go at least once a month. Strange but shooting both exhilarates and mellows me. Had a pretty good day. Here’s one of my targets. The ones outside the 8 ring were at 50’ and I was working on using a different combat grip. Anyway had fun, thats what retirement is about. Now I’m going to experience the Zin of gun cleaning. Have a great weekend all.

To sort of paraphrase Monty Python, "And now for something somewhat different"...

Starting with my wife, there are a number of folks in our circle of family and friends who are gluten intolerant, however, they all are able to easily digest the Sourdough Einkorn bread I've been baking since the COVID lockdown of 2020. Many of these folks love a good hamburger, but woefully peel the bun away and leave it uneaten, so I took pity on them and bought a hamburger bun pan last week and took a shot at making buns. My first attempt was a bit underwhelming from a visual perspective, but WOW did they taste good. These just came out of the oven; I'm thinking burgers on the charcoal BBQ for dinner tomorrow! :)

Good morning from a rainy day at the beach. Glad the work is inside today. Had a wonderful night of music last night. Got in around 11:30.

Good Morning Everyone, Have a Great Saturday!

Had an eye opener yesterday ran into a friend who does network setup he showed me some of his handy work. I had no clue how much everything is connected. He was working at a new 7 bay shop just going up. The amount cable going in gave me a different perspective. Normally I dealt with structural stuff. While he was showing me his work, I got an ear full about how his 7 yr old had been putting holes in things with an old bb gun I gave him. He had set up a cardboard back stop against the garage and found that it quit stopping the bb's and peppered the vinyl siding. He's a shooting friend of mine. I think he missed that the cardboard should not have gotten wet or changed more often. Possibly he didn't realize how many times his son was shooting it.

It’s going to be another awesome day here until the winds start later and the red flag warnings start.
I’m feeling down for all those in West Texas that got burned out from high winds and fire. Scary situation!
Hoping everyone has a relaxing and restful weekend!

Yikes! I don't think I've seen engines derail before, usually it is the cars behind them. The good news is it doesn't look like there were any casualties.

Good to hear no casualties or environmental issues from that derailment.

Be safe and have a good Saturday.

A little better each day. Not using sling, one handed capable. Staying ahead of pain pill schedule, so feels pretty good. Enough so when I come in every half hour or so, she doesn't need me. I'm still dinner guy tho. Back to yard work. Might be slow, but I'm still going. My chest wrap just showed up, so we'll see if that helps!
