Morning:hattip:, the only good thing about the latest snow is it’s not sticking to the pavement. We got about 3”-4”, driveway and street are clear.

Foothills of the Rockies is going to be beautiful again today! Mid 60s and mostly sun until late in the day before the next front heads our way with 2-4” of white stuff. Not even enough to shovel!
Sorry for my political anger, but when you have a small collection of inherited guns from 4 generations and they are telling you you cannot pass them on to your kids, grandkids and great grandkids, but instead the state will confiscate them when you die and ( supposedly) destroy them, it’s just constitutionally wrong!
OK, OK, OK I’ll quit ranting. I’m going to spend my day with my daughter’s dog playing in on my little acre.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Cardboard recycle run, then mow. We cleaned up potted plants, then I spent an hour cutting up boxes and filled the bed. Supposed to be a beauty-ful day here.

Good late morning all. A right nice 72 degrees out made nearly unbearable by 87 percent humidity and passing showers. Good morning to stay inside so I did our taxes this morning and we’re a whopping $164 richer. Got a few errands to run this afternoon and then maybe I’ll start boxing up stuff in the garage and run them to storage. Oh who am I kidding, it’s more likely I’ll run my errands, come home and take a nap.

Good cloudy morning all. Rain supposed to be gone, but the clouds remain. Make it a fun day.

I have never heard of this before. I know lots of people who have inherited old guns from their relatives and no problem, no interference from the government. I inherited old collectible guns from my dad and my father in-law, no problem. Is this a state or federal thing? Who is the “they” you refer to? Keep in mind too that most all old guns are not registered and never were so no government entity is even aware of the guns. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not saying you are wrong I’m just curious, would really like more info on this if it is actually happening.
Have fun hanging out with your daughter’s dog. Sounds like a good day to me. I think dogs understand me better than most people. Anyway they always seem happy when I hang out with them.

    Nope...

More like a battle of openmindedness versus groupthink.

This^^^^^^^^. I’ve almost always been open minded. Have changed my way of thinking and my positions on lots of things over the years. Not so much when I was young because I thought I knew it all. In reality I didn’t know shit, I knew sound bites. As the great Thomas Sowell said when he was asked what caused him to change from the positions he held as a young man even while earning his doctorate degree, he answered in one word - “Facts”. Critical thinking is also important. Unfortunately I think much of our youth is not being taught the art and process for critical thinking. Without critical thinking there is no open mindedness.
I’m hurting my brain thinking about all this. Think I’ll go hang out with my dog, he and I are on the same wave length.
