The owner of the shop told me that the parts market for Tacoma parts is so strong that my truck is worth more in parts than whole. As a result, he's seen insurance companies total vehicles for $12k in damage. A new frame os relatively inexpensive - maybe $3k - but the labor is what drives the total cost up.

A little something every chance we get.
:fingerscrossed: Good luck with the truck diagnosis, @Devious6 !

Things were looking up all day. Literally. My neck hurts.

    20240501_115752.jpg
    20240501_130725.jpg

Spent all day on the wheeled chaise lounge (creeper), blindly taping and checking under the Ghost BT-13 wings. So that someone can smear new sealant in the outboard seams. Not pretty at all, but you can't see what you do, and tape would rather stick to itself than the plane, so you make do...

'twas the chief A&P that bent my pipe wrench. He was impressed - he was rather proud of himself too - wasn't Chinese metal - old Ridgid. Wanted the pic.

Another beautiful week at the foot of the Rockies! 60s for the next week and no rain. Got to start watering the veges I guess.
Great day to be outside and get my vitamin D! Have a wonderful day all you old fogies!

I tried to get a replacement cover from Access, mine is showing its age and the cover is workout along the rails, and was told no replacement covers I must buy the entire assembly. Not going to do that.

So sorry Mark, glad you are OK. I recently priced out a replacement for my $17,000 2009 access cab and the price was $37K.

Good morning. The airports wore me out yesterday but I am ready to go today. The restaurant for lunch yesterday was fantastic. Sunset cruise tonight.

    Morning all:

Just thinking, I'm happy with mine, but was checking out the New Tacoma's. I did like my regular cab, which is no longer available, now it looks like the TRD Sport is no longer available with the extended cab, also looks like the only engine options available are the 2.8 and a turbo 2.8 4 cyl., SO, if I wanted a new extended cab TRD Sport with a V6 I would be SOOL! :(

Any chance that an upholstery shop could replicate the cover. :notsure:

Morning all. Beautiful day here in Northern California, mid 80’s (but passing rain storms on Saturday). Won’t be here for that though. Heading to Seattle and then on to a cruise ship for an Alaska cruise. Weather n our ports of call will be 50’s and some rain. I don’t care , I love Alaska it’s breathtakingly beautiful, love the food and entertainment aboard ship. We just love cruising. We go on 2 or so a year in addition to our other travels. I’ll try to post some pics. Last time to Alaska we had pods of killer whales just off our balcony, saw hundreds of Bald Eagles in Juneau and the list goes on and on. Anyway have a hundred last minute things to do. See ya

Have an awesome trip Sprig! I’m envious! I’ve flown to Alaska 4 times and driven once. Sadly we never made the Inside Passage.

Good morning! Happy Fri-YAY! :oldglory:I'm off the road for today. Working from home in the 727 today, then wife and I are driving up to the farm in the 386 area code.
Hard to believe I already have 7,300 miles on the truck since mid-February. It sat for nearly 2 months after i bought it.
