Hope everyone is enjoying the day, and your memories are all positive. Wife worked all morning preparing the ribs, beans, and fruits for me to shepherd in the oven this afternoon while I finished the deck. Except for the table and chairs, all pretty simple, just hot and tedious. BUT, it only made it to 99*! I did get in the pool when I finished, for about 5 minutes, then decided I would shower and cook inside with AC!

I did get all the races in yesterday. Missed the Monaco beginning, but that just delayed it for me. Cars have outgrown that circuit, and that's sad. Indy was all the race I hoped (almost). Folks had too much caffeine during the delay. Larson did great except, he killed himself with that penalty - but did you see that when he led his laps, he was 10 mph faster than the field? Yeah, he'll be back! NASCAR and FOX always conspire to make rain delays a total waste of your time, and I will leave it at that!

    Evening all:

:annoyed: One step forward, 2 steps back, used the Chevy truck today and saw the ABS light came on, parked it in the garage and noticed a noise coming from it after shutting it off, WTH!
Disconnected the battery and it stopped, started reading and it would appear that the ABS control module took a chit and won't allow the ABS pump to shut off. Looks like I need to pull the ABS fuse to stop the pump if I want to drive the truck, then I will need to remove the module and replace it.
Seems like they had a problem with those modules with the solder coming loose on the circuit board, couple u-tube videos show how to DIY repair them if that's all that's wrong. If I took it to a garage, it looks like it would cost somewhere between $550 to over $1000, that sure as heck ain't happening!
I'll be under it tomorrow spraying penetrating oil on everything I need to remove!

@boatswain Sorry to read you have a problem with the ABS module. Sounds like an easy repair with a soldering iron. I used to have a similar problem with the electronic ignition preamp module. Simple removal and replace the part, usually a resistor.

Good morning. off to get a haircut and pick up some bird seed today. Did a lot of work in back yard this past weekend. This week will focus on the front yard.

WOW! A busy last 3 days! Missed you all!
Spent a small fortune on Leaf Filter all around the house. Hoping I never have to climb on the roof again! Usually once in the early summer to clear out the Honeylocust pollen and 4 times in the fall to clear out the leaves. One fall would have cost me more than the Leaf Filter install and ruined the rest of my life likely.
A quiet Memorial Day here with only the two of us. Still I’d like to share a late pic with everyone just for memories.

Have a great day and never forget the fallen! They preserved our freedoms.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, yesterdays reliable recipes turned out poorly - with store brand ingredients. Never had such a completely failed dinner - and these are recipes that never fail! Oh well. Taking it easier today, have to vote, and only the foggiest idea of what else I might mess with.
