Yikes! 86* today! No rain and hot for the foreseeable future.
Kettlebell day! Lunch with a bud. A relaxing day mostly inside out of the heat. No comparison to Texas or Arizona heat though! I guess I had better appreciate what I’ve got!
Let’s just make this a great day and enjoy what ever life brings!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/loafers. I have a PSA I'd like to share. Do you know that plastic water pipe that glues together? CPVC. It's a tannish color, not the white stuff. Do you know how it glues together? Wipe some acetone on the surfaces, then some glue, then you had better know *just* where you want them because when you mate them up you have about 3 seconds to get them there. Right? WRONG! I guess the EPA or somebody has been messing around with that stuff since I last used it, because now it can take HOURS to fully set -- by which I mean to be able to hold normal household water pressure. I found this out the hard way yesterday, when a joint near the ceiling simply pushed apart, causing A LOT of water to spray EVERYWHERE in the basement for MINUTES until I realized what was happening, ran back down two flights of stairs and down two hallways, and finally managed to shut off the water while getting pretty thoroughly drenched myself. Sorry, no pics, but it was biblical.

Here's a kicker -- I even read the instructions! "Hold pieces firmly together for 30 seconds" they said. I had to search the interwebz to find out about the 2 hour cure time.

tl,dr: Pipe dope ain't what it used to be. At least the basement floor is washed! And luckily no real harm done other than to my ego.

And the 2800 laughs at me again. The bits are 5/16, don't fit the 1/4 flat ratchet. And so, another tool on the way!

I was a kid in high school when gas was that cheap. I worked part time at a Chevron station and as an employee the owner gave me a 2 cent per gallon discount. (His mark up/profit was 2 cents a gallon) So I got gas for 22 cents a gallon. For 5 or 6 dollars I could put 5 gallons in my car, take my girlfriend to the drive-in and get hamburgers, a coke and popcorn. Big spender me, thought I was one cool dude impressing the girls.

Back in 65! I pumped gas then after school and on Saturdays. Lots of good memories.

Good morning. Wifes car goes into the shop for oil change and tire rotation this morning.
