No classes locally. The one Coleman collector who advised me a few months back, used to instruct at the California HP Academy, another collector is currently an officer at the weight station by Anderson or wherever that place is. He is to retire this Fall. Sorry, I’m SOL to any help. A couple neighbors said we need to go out, but you know how that goes. One does have a CCW permit, he would know more than I do. The former instructor is the one who told me to take a CCW class to get familiar. Thanks for the distance advise, just trying to see what I can do at that distance, but a shorter distance would help with vision, good info about self defense at a much further distance. On my recent trip, I did pick up 22 boxes of range ammo that were on sale and an extra 5% off if buying 10 or more. The former instructor did mention about a revolver, I told him I had thought about it, but they were more expensive, may get one down the road.
I have a SW M&P. It came with two mags. Also bagged a free gun box too.

    Evening all:
Not much of a pistol shooter but have shot open sight with both rifles and pistols, one mistake a lot of people make is to cover the bullseye with the front sight, the desired point of impact should be right on top of the front sight, that way you aren't covering up what you are aiming at, at least that's how I was always told to do it.

A little something every chance we get.
And they arrested him according to latest news! I can think of appropriate punishment.

Some good advice! Just last week I decided it was time to learn how to shoot the 9mm I kept from my dad’s estate. I had not shot a gun in over 35 years. I went the route of a private lesson so I could learn the proper grip and stance. That and just making sure I remembered also the safety rules correctly from my youth. Well worth the money for 1 private lesson so that you start off on the right foot.

I can ask my neighbor who is one that said we need to go out sometime. His brother is the Undersheriff.
By the third time out I figured what I needed to do to keep from jerking about the time I pull the trigger. Taking too much time to acquire my target. My neighbor also helped me with my grip, just need to apply all to my time shooting. When I had my shotgun for the first time, I was worried about flinching, but when pulling down on a bird, I’m not thinking of the kick. Been years since I shot a shotgun, selling my 870 back in ‘82 maybe to pay the well driller off.

    Good morning all.
Finally figured out how to field strip my gun, instructions were not clear to me, then saw a video which explained the one part where I needed to rotate a piece. Oh, that thing! Now I can see what needs to be oiled.
When it warms up to around upper 50’s to 60 I can go for a bike ride for my exercise, taking a couple mornings off to rest in between. Trying to use the one rest morning to hit the range. I need to build a frame to attach my targets to.
A year ago I changed all my drive train fluids myself, what a pita, bought a bottle pump to fill oil from, what a dang mess. Doing all that in my garage, using a vintage creeper. I need to have a shop do it next time or get a better pump. After, I read to fill below the fill hole, I filled until fluid ran out. Whoops! No wonder I needed more oil. Used Amsoil where I could. Only thing worse is changing the motor oil filter and R&R ing the front skid plate/air dam piece.

:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! It's mow the yard and see how good my sports therapy was yesterday! Yesterday was a haircut, drop off magazines at a friends shop, and muscle therapy. After the Monday session, I felt "great" (relative term for better than in a long time) all day Tuesday, but it rained all day so I didn't get much advantage to it. We'll see how today goes.

Played around with that articulating mount yesterday, and it does what I need, but I haven't found the "happy spot" yet. I will take a pic when I do. Also, need to swap out the last flat washer on the bolt for a star - that mount has some grip.

I follow the stock market everyday to see if I need to farm Repo pup out. You wonder if the sudden drops are more of the buy low, sell high traders? Big come back today. So far. Maybe just the positive reports.

I've posted some pics from "Critter Photo Op Hunt '24" in Shack for those who might be interested. Boretide video (6 mins 20 secs) might be off interest if you've never witnessed one. We completely lucked out; not part of our plan. MooseMan random neural firing occurred to me when we got down by Turnagain Arm to check calendar of forecasted time and size. Link in my "Sig" block below.

Have a great day! RESPECT :oldglory:

    Afternoon all:
Just got done changing the oil in the Tacoma, like Duane said it's not getting any easier, but at least I still can manage to do it. Thinking about mowing behind the small shed, like I said, THINKING about doing it, if I don't get to it, it will still be there tomorrow.

Holy crap! Just saw that Toyota is going to replace 100,000 engines in Tundra's and Lexus SUV's!

Well, got the yard done and waiting on the rain. Wasn't as painless as I hoped, but close to normal time with normal rests, so....I'll take it.

Putzed the ball mount and played with some adjustments. (Old phone is slightly smaller). Just have to adjust and go, adjust and go. What seems good has interfered with my hand on the wheel, or signal. But, and least I can get it vertical, with the articulated mount.
