My heart goes out to you two! My Dr recommended I read “Being Mortal”. I have sat with several family members till their last breath. One never gets over it. I understand here in Colorado we have an end-of-life law with assisting Dr. My plan has always been to go on a Walk-About in the mountains never to be seen again. It will be awhile because I have to many responsibilities at present raising one more grandkid, caring for my better half, assisting a neurologically ill daughter, etc.

My best wishes to you two to do what’s best!

Sorry, I'm not too mushy in passing out good wishes or thoughts in prayers and best wording. We've all been thru something. I've lost a couple direct line Aunts and Uncle this last year, so can relate. Down to two of moms siblings.

Well said Duane, @67 I’ve been around the block a time or two. It’s still always tough.

So sorry to hear of the medical issues @roundrocktom . Thoughts and prayers to you both. Hope you can get the right doc's to give her the correct care for her condition.

Start with the light weights @95SLE Tom

I like your idea. The thought of being bed ridden and dependent on someone for everything is not what I want.

Doctor told me nothing over 25 lb. The objective is to use machines that do not put stress on the spine and being able to exit the machine. ;)

Good morning. Pretty busy day today ending with listening to my son perform on his birthday. Most of the family will be there and we have cake. :hbd: I am so not prepared for today's music lesson.

Another hot dry day here. I am so envious of everyone getting just the right amount of rain! Our firefighters could sure use some, although they are doing a terrific job in this heat getting control of the fires. Lots of people are being able to move back into their homes. Go firefighters!

Kettlebell day! Then if not too hot, I’ll start wiring for solar on my Casita. I’d like to get that done before my mid-month trip to the Wind River area.

Do something special for yourself today and enjoy your time!

Good morning all. We finally got a decent amount of rain in my part of PA last night. Rode home in it yesterday on the bike. Talk about isolated showers! Left work in a moderate rain, half mile north it wasn't raining and the road was dry. Go about another 3/4 mile and it's raining again. Hop on the interstate at MM28 in pouring rain get to MM31 and the road is dry with no rain, by MM32 it's pouring again! Riding in rain on a bike doesn't bother me and I've likely got more miles in rain than some folks ride in their whole riding life.

    Good morning gang and gangstress,
The return to hot weather has added more burnt acreage to the Park Fire I understand, currently potentially affecting one of a few drainages where endangered salmon spawn here in commiefornia.
Picking out lanterns and stoves for later next weeks Coleman Gathering to the Kalifornia coast, most stoves and lanterns have been set out on my work bench already, waiting to get loaded up.
