Good morning! Headed to the farm today for the weekend. I have some help this weekend with the inside of the house. Window trim is about half finished. After that, it's time to tackle the second bathroom, skirting, and stairs for the outside in the coming weekends.
Also will be using the tractor and box blade to make a swale for drainage to the pond. Oh and I have a HUGE burn pile to light if the wind is calm.
Whew.... tired already.

Good morning Porch Pals and Sue! Another 1 -0 -sh*t day yesterday, only 100 today. Mowing.
Thanks for the kind thoughts, here is where I sit at the moment. Ortho hip guy needs the MRI to determine where to start. My legs hurt from spine problems there and they make the hips hurt? Or vice versa. Because the X-Rays say my right hip is gone, left right behind it. So, MRI and then plan. Ortho neck guy doesn't need an MRI, new X-Ray was enough. Basically, my neck is fused together, and there is nothing to do about that. Called "DISC", which I will spell out some time here. If I saw a chiro for it, I would likely end up paralyzed. So, that plan is PT for 6 weeks for now. When I break, I do it all the way!
And on the way home, I get the CHECK ENGINE light. Fortunately, my stereo head unit will spit out codes, and all I should need to do today is clean off the MAF sensor after I mow.

 

Kurt sorry to hear of your health issue , hope the PT gets rid of the pain you're in

Sorry to hear about the problems Kurt, hopefully they can get you rebuilt!

Mowed yesterday, grass wasn't that high but the seed towers were, also need to trim AGAIN!

 

sixtys/wannabes/aches-n-pains. I got some meaningful work done on the Elan over the past couple of days up at the other guy's garage in Saylorsburg. Brakes are now much better than before. Looking back at all the evidence, I suspect the front brakes weren't doing much prior to our repairs. Next up -- driver's side motor mount.

If/when you go for hip surgery make sure they use an "anterior approach" i.e. they cut you open in front and not on the side. Basically they open a slit, stick a piece of PVC pipe in there, and do all the work through it. It's a new-ish process, wwaaayyyyyy better than the old method. Shorter recovery time, much better outcome because they don't cut through all the muscles holding the joint in place.

 

My surgery is on August 6th
