We had a similar instance here in Philly..... A 15 year old and another teen went to rob a Temple Univ. student. The 15 year old pulled a gun but didn't expect the student who has a carry permit to pull his gun:eek:... The teen and student were both wounded, but the 15 yr. old is looking at hard time in an adult facility and no charges against the student:D!! Some times it pays to be armed!! Ken

Sorry that its like this but both of us have CWP's and 9MM's. come on in. Two years ago two 13 yo went into a 7-11 with a real looking BB gun, guess what they got from the man in the store. One was DRT the other was DOA. Jim

Mostly sunny day here but still major flooding issues on the Susquehanna. Crested at just under 42 ft - more than a foot over highest recorded flood stage previously. It's going to take a long time to clean up and get people's lives back in order.

One of our colleges remote centers upriver in Towanda - not in the flood plain - went under 5 ft of water. As the executive VP and acting president of the college I spent my day coordinating resumption of classes and clean-up. Almost like the old Army days of crisis response.

I have a license to carry here in PA - my "normal" carry is a Kimber Ultra-CDP II, 3 in barrel in .45 cal. If I want something with less recoil I have a Czech 9mm vZ82. But, I've always loved the sheer stopping power of a .45 and hated when the Army went to the 9mm 92FS.

I have my ccw permit and am looking for something else to carry :anonymous: my glock is too big/heavy for every day carry....

Doing pretty well Susan. I went to the docs today for a 6 month follow up and he was happy with the weight loss. I talked to him about the hamstring and so far so good.

I think I am going to start the grille mod tomorrow. I am going nuts not doing anything.

I now have all the parts for the HU install so that should happen pretty soon as well.

On my last AZ trip, the deadbolt didn't lock... slept with my glock on the bed next to me  Annie would have warned me someone was there

Good morning and Happy Weekend everyone! Today is the day...at least I hope it is...to finally get our grass cut. That will mean about 5 hours on the riding mower.

Tomorrow I plan on spending a quiet day home, except to go out to church, in observence of the 9-11 anniversary. Time to reflect on friends and colleagues lost that day as well as all those lost in the WTC and on Flight 93.

Happy Anniversary, Ken!!! Lynn and I have been happily married for 23 years...and that's not bad out of a total of 37.

Still wet here, too, and the ground is mushy. I may have to wait until tomorrow to cut. Oh, well.

I'm saturated here too. I keep a loaded weapon, within reach, in bedroom. got 66 chevy inspected yesterday and snow tires mounted on extra rims, for toyota, then waxed rims.interesting opinions posted on TW, about 9/11,I have been reading these posts, and of course added my $.02. sounds like the old timers here in NE pa. fared the storms pretty well. unfortunately,a lot of people didn't. susky.is really doing damage.

Morning Mark. Happy weekend to you as well. :anonymous: I need to cut my grass, too... but that will have to be this afternoon. Leaving here in a few to go get my eyes checked and probably new glasses :(

    Good plan for tomorrow.

 morning Ken. Congratulations on 42 years with your wife :proposetoast:

 thanks Jim. I'll check out the 26. Don't like a lot of "ladies" guns though since they are made for midgets with tiny hands :anonymous: Have a great day.

Morning Carl. Hope all you NE guys dry out quick. Been seeing lots of damage pics from the floods :(

Good morning. I am off to run errands for the home this morning. I was up late last night watching a 911 special.

I still hope to start the grille mod today when I get home.

Wow......I hope it's not "too late" to show up at this party!

Name's Rob, gonna be 62 in a couple months, just bought a new 11 DC two weeks ago and found TW....guess that makes me an old newbie!

Still feel like I'm in my 20s or 30s (somedays) and I think I owe that to my wife. She's 10 years younger than me and she keeps me going....even when I don't want to be going. I met her when she was 18 and I was 28. Lot's of good times. No kids, just a Dachshund named Speedster.

Been a car guy since I was a kid, thanks to Dad. Grew up at Lions Drag Strip in SoCal in the late 50s to mid 60s and hung out with Big Daddy Ed Roth. I would watch him draw/paint t-shirts for hours and then sell them for $3.50.

From reading this thread, I'm guessing you feel the same as me....age is a state of mind and you're only as old as you think you are.

    Cheers to all!!!!!
