60+ year old thread.

Okay folks, I met a fellow TW member of the 60+ thread today and had a great afternoon. Met up with Ken (@Sprig ) on an Alaskan cruise. Small world it is when you meet someone who lives in California and you live on the other coast. So without further ado: here we are.

Yes it’s mind boggling, Ken (johneman) and I (Ken) who reside 3000 miles apart end up on the same ship sailing to Alaska. Ken saw a post I made about sailing to Alaska and sent me a message asking if I was on the same ship as he, told him yes. So he and his wife and me and my wife hooked up today. I can say they are wonderful and gracious people. Great afternoon.

Great story and picture. Ken, @johneman you are still looking great. My wife and I have done 2 Alaska cruises + land trips. Both were wonderful.

Good morning. Not much planned for today. Cleaning up some storage drawers in the kitchen and chair yoga. Pork chops for dinner. My right hearing aid acted up yesterday but is working this morning. Hope there is no unplanned trip to Costco.

sixtys/wannabes/vacationers. We've been having really beautiful weather for a couple of weeks now, which unfortunately means not enough rain for the plants and trees. I'm even running the sprinkler on parts of the yard. And I keep wondering when we'll get our comeuppance, like maybe a hurricane!

That's pretty cool! My only question is, which one of you was in a movie with Kevin Bacon?

 

Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! False Fall ends today, and probably nothing but a sprinkle out of Francine tomorrow. Don't know why I hurt all over this morning, therapist only worked shoulder and neck, but I'm going slow! Nothing some more coffee won't fix. Quick WalMart errand, and the putz I didn't do yesterday is my big plan.

Late start today. Met a bud from Wyoming at a Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Good chat updating what’s going on in our worlds.
Was awake this morning at 3:00 something, so I’ll probably need a cat nap today.
Need to get some plywood decking to put under my truck bed mat. Then I’ll have a solid base to attach the slider for my Iceco refridge. I love projects! Usually keep me out of trouble…as I said…usually! LOL!

Wife watched the debate last evening, so I just went to bed. I need the rest. May wash the Taco today. It needs it big time. I may want to drive it soon. Eye surgery is healing nicely... it's been a long haul. It will take another 6 weeks yet, to build new eye-brain connections. Amazing what they can do these days.
