I would be looking for a new cardio person myself.

Sorry to read this Carl. A good blender can be your friend.

Good morning. Only needed one truckload of compro yesterday but it wore me out. On the positive side my wife and I finished everything by 10:30. Still ran all my errands and was home by 12:30. Today will be the gym and taking it easy. Only real pic I have of the rotisserie chicken is a movie, which you cannot post on this forum. However, this is my setup for yesterday's cook.

Ken thanks for the info on those supplements and will ask my doctor at my doctor's appointment . I noticed I mentioned 8.5mm stone , it is actually 1.5cm and 1.8cm stones in my left kidney and the surgeons used the laser to remove them and placed stents in that kidney

My next surgery which is on my right kidney hasn't been scheduled as of yet . This kidney has a very large 2.3 cm stone and they may want to surgically enter that kidney thru my back

kidney stones, so imma 17 yrs old and went hunting with a few friends one day..well that whole day, i would piss blood whenever i had to go, i didnt say anything, welp, cuz I thought it was probably because of.. :jerkoff:
so a month or so went by, and i had stopped the blood loss. then one day we went sledding and i kinda crashed hard, thought i had broken my back. few days later off to the hospital to find out it was a kidney stone issue, gave me one of those brown glass vials and a screened up funnel. I filled the vial up within 1 week, went back and they "removed" the rest. They sent me to Walter Reed for further testing after i graduated high school, and ended up removing my hyperparathroid gland. after surgery, I was back in the ward and noticed this giant needle on my stand, asked the nurse what that was for, and was told, well after the surgery, that my body could go into a loss of calcium shock? and this will help me with that. I then asked how would i know? She said I will get a tingling in my feet, and it will go up my body and me suck up into a curled position and I cant stop it. So as you well know, I started to feel the tingle, now mind you, the surgery was across the front of my entire neck, so I did what any brave kid would do, i gathered up the 3 IV's that they had me on to a rolling hanger and took off thru the hospital and the grounds. they chased me down and asked WTF i thought i was doing, I said I needed to stretch,as they escorted me back, the tingle went away, I never told the doctors or nurses what had happened, and I chalked it up as a psychotic episode due to my only fear....needles...

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Going to start calling this group the "Rolling Stones!" Yesterday was just a big PITA, but nothing worse. Could have consulted the Magic 8 Ball for all the info I got from the Ortho, who was an hour and a half late in getting around to me. But I got a referral, then got to argue with the PT folks about doing both. Sheesh. Going to try to accomplish one thing from that list of putz and call it good. I am getting around better tho!

Why is it that older people (men AND women?) have such a hard time drinking enough water? I have a BIL that's ended up in the hospital probably ten times because he gets dehydrated. He just doesn't have the urge to drink. And I've noticed that my urge to drink has diminished. I need something in my water to give me enough interest. I've been putting a few drops of lemon or lime in my water because it makes it better to my taste buds. And of course the best things that would make me interested in drinking have calories. I like the Simply brand watermelon juice but damn, I don't need the extra calories.

Doesn't sound like something I want. Glug, glug, glug. Sounds of me downing 3 cups of water......

Didn't realize so many folks got them :notsure:

There's an app you can get for your phone to remind you to drink. Try Ultima to drink. Only a few calories and no sugar and a ton of flavors. Get on Amazon or their site. A NP at my cardiologist s office recommended it.

 happy Saturday ya'll. Make it a good day

Water is the elixir of life. 3 days is as long as we can go without water. After 3 days organ systems fail and we die. Keeping hydrated is one of my tenets of life of living long and healthy. A lot of older and younger people do not drink enough water and stay sufficiently hydrated. Lots of reasons, none specific. Some people don’t really like water, some are too busy, some confuse thirst with hunger and eat (hard to believe but true), some just don’t think about it. Some people get their water from caffeinated beverages like coffee, tea and sodas. While you get water intake from these which is good, caffeine is also a diuretic which makes the body get rid fluid. Alcohol is also a diuretic which is why after a night of imbibing we are thirsty the next day. I drink coffee, tea and alcohol but in moderation.

I intentionally force myself to drink a lot of water because of my history of kidney stones, my wife who has only had 1 kidney stone about 15 years ago also super hydrates herself. Dehydration can cause an endless list of problems/symptoms including fatigue, tachycardia , irregular heart beat, dizziness, seizures, etc. etc. And let’s not forget kidney stones.
I have to force myself to drink a lot of water. I too often put a little flavoring in it like the juice from a lemon or to. Lemon juice is a citrate which is especially good at preventing kidney stones. It binds to calcium and helps block stone formation.
My wife and I drink a lot of bottled water called Hint. It is fruit infused flavored water. No chemicals or sweeteners. It comes in numerous flavors and has just a “hint”of flavor. We have several 12 packs delivered every month. It makes it easier to drink a lot of water that has a little flavor in it. Right now I’m drinking a blackberry Hint. I personally drink at least 2 quarts of water a day plus other beverages like coffee, maybe a beer or soda, a milk shake, orange juice, milk on my cereal etc etc. It all adds up but water is the primary source of fluids. My intake from all the various sources of fluid intakes is usually 3 plus quarts a day, 2/3 at least is from water. If you are drinking sufficient water/fluids when you urinate it should be clear or pale yellow. If it’s not drink more water. Anyway that’s my little dissertation on water. So drink lots of water, live long and healthy and pee a lot.

Got em once about 10 years ago at 6 am sitting in the ready room at work.
Had no idea what it was, so my boss called the meat wagon. the pain level went from 10 to +20. Meat wagon guy knew what it was.
It was a good sized one and passed into my bladder.

Pizzed it out in a coffee filter the next day.
    Looked like an asteroid.
My doc said the same thing, tank up on water. Then tank up some more.
Couple docs also said beer is good as well.

It just happened it was in March, and working that time of year, I didn't tank up as the rest of the year.

I spend a lot of time hunting solo. Things like that make you think. It can immobilize you pretty quick if it hits bad.

Good morning. Took it easy yesterday. going to try and do the same today. Bottled up my hot sauce yesterday and the batch made 14 of the 5oz bottles. This is the hottest sauce I have ever made.

Anyone else in this thread enjoy hot sauce?

I do but I don't make my own. I like trying different kinds, but I don't just like hot, it has to have flavor too. Really hot ones I like to put on my chili. I like green Chilli hot sauce on scrambled eggs and cheese because it also adds flavor, not just hot.

Yeehaa! We got enough rain that everything is actually wet looking! Weather app shows .25”! First time things have been wet since July! 46* with a high of 63! What a shock to the system! Turned the heat on! Probably for only a couple of days though, then back to the 80s.
I guess it will be a man cave reloading and watching old John Wayne movies kind of day.

Make this a great day everyone!

Very nice. I’m envious of anyone who has wildlife in their yard.
