I workout using a kettlebell 3 days a week. Been using one exclusively in my workouts since last January. I have found it helps my balance and improves my joint mobility along with muscle building. You may be right that it has turned into a fetish! LOL! I gained5 lbs within the first month of using it. It’s only 25 lbs, but after a dozen exercises it kicks my butt.

90* yesterday, but only 49 now and only 73* today…PERFECT temp to spend the day outside!

Everyone who can go out and get some vitamin D and have a great day!

Check out Mark Wildman on YouTube. He is who got me started. My joints I have always had issues with and balance is critical for elders. My balance has greatly improved. Standing I can balance on one leg while putting a sock on the other foot. Not a wise thing for a 77 yo to be doing, but my balance has gotten very good.

Anyway my kettlebell has worked well for me, so I’ll keep doing it along with my stretches and body weight hangs. Everyone has to find what works for them and what improves their life. JMO&E.

Make today count as one of your best!

    Afternoon all:

:woot:, just received a Jet Sled that I ordered.
They are "SUPPOSED" to be much easier to use in the woods for getting deer out and quite a few people use them, hopefully we'll get a chance to try it out!
We do have deer carts that work pretty good, but the Jet sled is "SUPPOSEDLY" better at going over logs, small rocks, and through brush, the cart is better on bare ground and paths.

good luck, i have a Otter beavertail, never had a cart, you may have to modify the pull handle, i have a small piece of pvc to cover that, slides all up-n-down the pull cord, but better than stock. They work, i will say that the same amount of exertion is needed. I usually use it to where i can get to the 4wheeler, cuz at that point, I have messed up the woods anyway.

Nothing seems to work in the mountains of Colorado except deboning and packing it out in multiple loads. The last elk I took was 5 loads (a 42 yo bud carried 1) 1 1/2 miles (per GPS) the way the crow flies. Not sure what the actual distance was. I was a young spry 72 yo then. Not sure I could do it again. Took me two days even then.

I already modified the pull rope with a hose for the hand grip, and a piece of drilled PVC across the front to spread the pressure across the whole front instead of just the 2 small holes that it goes through, also drilled some small holes in the top rail for tiedowns.
I also have a deer slide that I've had for years but never used it.
ANYTHING that makes it easier, even a little bit, is a big plus at this stage of the game!
Our DIY deer carts are great, high and 26" cartwheels on them, but when going over rocks and small blowdowns they aren't ideal, once on a half decent path or gated woods road they work great. I brought a deer downhill on an oil line with mine, had to hold onto the handle from the rear of it to keep it from running away, it just rolled down that oil line on its own, wish they were all as easy as that!
My buddy used to bring deer out from one of his spots in a wheelbarrow, there is NO WAY that he could even begin do that anymore!

Finding game, then getting them out of the woods, and finally butchering them is always a challenge! But they are some of the tastiest and healthiest meats you can eat!
Taking my granddaughter to Texas this January for her an opportunity at an Auodad and a whitetail buck. We shall see how she does. So far in her hunting she started on prairie dogs, Merino, Corsican, 2 mule deer does, buck antelope and a nice black bear. Hopefully she will add a couple to her list in January. She’s a good kid and a fine shot.

Wow... I had no idea what time it was, when I got up this morning. Evidently power flickered sometime in the night, reset all the clocks. Weird feeling, right off the bat. The battery backup should have picked up the slack... so that doesn't work. Had to get the cellphone, to see what damn time it was! I leave it on 24/7, just for crap like this. Time can sure mess up your world. It's been weird last couple days... storms, cleanup, generator propane tank refill, check the house over, top to bottom... now this. I guess I'm still sane... wouldn't swear to it though.
