:washing: is all that's on my agenda for today. Does that count as putzing?

A little something every chance we get.
That's more of a chore. I'm running the Roomba - putz. Running the sweeper in a couple places Roomba can't do - chore. Changing the AC filter is mostly a putz. Reformatting the dash cams SD card - putz. Taking the bottom cover off the microwave so I can wash it - chore! (I melted a burger bun bag by accident, like :bananadead: melted!)

Putzing (putz) - Prev. "puttering". Repl. 1950's.

102 degrees again today. Gonna petition the city council to rename this town I live in to HELL. Went grocery shopping a 7:00am this morning. Then spent an hour in the pool. Now I’m gonna start puttering and putzing. Gonna load a bunch of 9mm magazines to go shooting tomorrow. Then clean and neatin up my work bench. After that I’ll take all the tackle out of my tackle boxes and then put it all back in. That really makes me look busy. After that I’ll just sit at my work bench staring into space looking like I’m lost in thought (my cat taught me to do that). Later this evening I’m grilling rack of lamb.
Well I’m off to the garage. Happy Sunday all.

    Plain Jane - Bare bones
Good evening. We have spent the day getting in line for sandbags at 6 am. Then because there was a limit we had to shovel our own so we could have enough. Then taping up plastic, laying sandbags, moving things higher in the house, packed up our most treasured belongings, important papers, and now having a bowl of ice cream before bed. We will be on the road at 5 am headed north. The farm may be a place of refuge, but just in case we booked a hotel until after this storm passes.

We don't expect normal when we return. The boat will likely be gone. It barely hung in at 6 foot storm surge. this one is predicted to be 10'-20' depending on where it hits. If the sandbags and plastic hold...maybe the first floor will be salvageable.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those still recovering from Helene in Florida, Carolinas, and TN, As well as our fellow Floridians that are getting ready for another gut punch.
Be safe and God Bless. :)

    Good morning all. :pccoffee:

Went to a Biker Breakfast yesterday with a friend of mine that I'd never heard about before in Poolesville, MD. Few pics for your enjoyment.

The Honda CX500 Turbo was a one year only bike. This one had 13k miles on it and the owner told me this had been a dream bike of his for years. In order to get the best example possible he bought 4 of them then mixed and matched the best parts on the lowest mileage runner then sold off the other 3 bikes in various levels of quality. He claimed one went to Jay Leno.

I had that day yesterday. Cooking a chicken was a putz. I did clean the stovetop yesterday but that was easy.

Only if you did a Peg Bundy and had a few Bon-Bons on the sofa waiting for the clothes to dry.

Sounds like a solid plan. Best of luck for the homestead surviving the oncoming storms.

Good morning. Think I will do some puttering today.

Mother Nature can be a cruel mistress! Keeping you in my thoughts. Stay safe!

Kettlebell day! Going to take it easy with it today. A bit of a crick in my neck after crawling under the Casita so many times replacing the gray water lines the other day.
Mowed yesterday for likely the last time this year. Another warm day 13* above normal, so things have pretty much stopped growing. I need to rake some more leaves, or hope for a big wind…LOL!

Have a wonderful day and stay safe!
