:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! It's roller coaster temperatures this week, but absolutely no weather! Putz things today. Mind the turkey thawing in the cooler.

That'll work bucktales, pretty well the combination that a lot seem to be going to, good shooting on the wife's part!:thumbsup:
My hunting buddy's mom used to hunt, her rifle was chambered in .257 Roberts and had mild recoil, that's a caliber you don't even hear mentioned anymore.

I would probably have just as good a chance of getting a deer by my house as anywhere else we are hunting. I had 3 different buck on the trail cam, 2 were legal, and a few doe and THE BEAR, I do have a tree stand overlooking that trail. Also some rubs and a scrape on another trail behind the house where I also have another tree stand. Was planning on sitting in one of them in the evenings, but didn't, had enough frustration with the morning hunts! :(
My hunting buddy isn't getting any better, only worse, I'll be primarily in those stands in the not too distant future if he quits hunting, sure will miss moseying around in the woods with him though. :(

 Well, we're foster parents again. Carol just picked up this little rescue today. He's had a long day, but had a bath and brush when he got here, found a yard to poop and pee in, and is currently TOTALLY worn out in the sunroom bed. (There is a bed in every room it seems....) I'm not taking odds that he will have a new name within a week, and he's home! Some golden mixed with whatever, and I will surely have better pics! Supposedly, as big as he's gonna get.

He’s a cutie, so cute that I bet he’ll be a permanent family member in no time. I can’t foster critters cause I’m a total foster failure. Let us know his name when you decide.

Was not really into her foster idea, but I think he'll fit it. Looks just like her on the couch about now!

    Good Thanksgiving Eve Everyone :hattip:.
The Missus and I are heading upstate for our annual Thanksgiving weekend. This is our last hoorah for the year when we shut it down for the winter (my son will probably want to use it through December) because we only have a small heater and it gets cold in the house.

From Our house to yours, Wishing Everyone A Happy And Safe Thanksgiving :fistbump:.

I am with you on your thoughts about New Orleans, I have been there 3 times. All I ask for is to have one meal at Commanders Palace. I will check out the World War II Museum. Turkey is in the brine!

Good morning! Off to the eye doctor for a 7:45 appointment, then to the food bank to make a delivery, and pick up 2 pies from the bakery. The bakery is also Skippers Pier restaurant so lunch will be in order. Them back home with some minor food prep, stuff a pork loin and put the turkey in a dry brine of salt and pepper. One of our guests is allergic to garlic so no garlic on the turkey but she does not eat pork so I will probably use a rub with garlic in the rub. I am debating on making the stuffing and putting it in the fridge till cooking tomorrow, that will cut down on some of the work Thursday morning. sure would be easier to just pop the stuffing in the over rather than having to make it. Preparing white and sweet potatoes will take some time.

Good morning all. Not much communication after my response to the offer from that company. HR sent over their health benefit package. Definitely a small business that is trying to offer coverage options, but not what I'm accustomed to. Certainly something to weigh and overcome. Hopeful to get an idea today if they have interest in moving ahead. Can't accept the offer the way it is structured. Looking at the profitability, they have the funds.

Shaping up to be a great weekend ahead. Thanksgiving with friends at their home in downtown St. Pete, then up and out early Friday to head to the farm. New neighbors up there invited us over for tree trimming on Friday evening. No chainsaws involved for this trimming. LOL We have all done enough of that.
Weekend temps down in the 30s at night to 60 during the day bright and sunny. Yes!!

Happy Wednesday (Friday for some of us)!

Morning Ken :hattip: Same here with dogs that are fostered. I am good with pets but, when it comes time to send them to a forever home it kinda breaks my heart. Problem I have is I don't really want a full time dog yet.

    Have a great Thanksgiving

Cute pup Kurt and looks like he is quite comfortable with his new home .

Have a great Thanksgiving Kurt

Good Morning Chuck :hattip:. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your Brother and family.

:hattip:Morning Jim. Leaving to head upstate about noon so hoping I can get past the bad traffic areas without much trouble  (probably not going to happen) :bikewheelie:. Have a terrific Thanksgiving

WOW! Amazing Bill. The trip looks like a great time. The 3am trail ride would be a bit scary but the mules probably know them better than anyone. Thanks for posting the video. Well worth watching.

    Morning all:

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Ken, don't tell the wife that I named them sausage and hamburger!:laughing:

On the way back from hunting there was a small doe that was hit by a car not that far from where I had a small doe run up to me, my buddy said that's probably the doe that you saw. If it was, the moral of the story is I don't really like to shoot them, but then they end up get killed on the highway anyway and go to waste.:(

That dog sure is a cutie Kurt!

Great video Bill, the Grand Canyon is a gorgeous work of nature. :101010:

Getting oil delivered today :spending:, the good news is that I think I have enough coal left over from last year to make it through the winter, that doesn't happen often!
