I played two hours of vigorous pickleball in dank 42°F conditions in the late afternoon yesterday. Expected the courts to be dry, but nope. No rain in days but wet condensing fog, soaked everything. I'm the only clown who brought towels to wipe the court - wisdom over youth. Just throw the wet towels in the pu bed.

Yeah them whippersnappers think I'm old, I just need to think faster and trust my drops from the backline and come forward fast.

TIP: Crank the seat heater to high on the way to the courts and stretch those warmed up glutes and hammies.........or you gonna blow out yer arse muscles or worse blow a hammie!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I found a good deal ($230 off/ free shipping/5% back on my CC) at Dell.com on an Inspiron 15 for Black Friday. 16GB/1TB/i7. It's not the newest/fastest, but it should get what I need for several years.

I've been looking for a couple of weeks. I checked Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon and a local Dell dealer/service provider. All were similar in price. The instant offer from my CC was what finally tipped the scale.

I bought this in October... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D59DZK24?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title and like it. I had one before with less ram (16) and GB (512) and liked it so bought the same thing when the hinge went out on the lid causing the bottom of the screen to separate... but that replacement screwed up and I returned it under warranty right away. So stepped up and paid more for the one I linked. It's gone up a hundred dollars since I bought it... probably in anticipation of being discounted for a "sale" pretty soon... but who knows?
I'm trying to edit videos for youtube so I bought more than I'd otherwise need. So far, so good.
Oh, I also use "Open Office" which is free and easy to download, and comparable with Microsoft Office 365.

A little something every chance we get.
Happy anniversary @Devious6 ! Congratulations to you both!

:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals and Sue! Now both machines are coming today, and they track as nearby. Yes, everything we had was 10, and not upgradeable. So, Merry Christmas! I can't copy and paste with the info on the phone, but I got Best Buy deals on both.
HP ENVY DESKTOP, INTEL i7 CORE, 16 g MEMORY, 1 tb SSD
    HP 15 6" FULLHD TOUCH SCREEN, 16 g RAM, 512 gb SSD
Win 11 Home for both, and I have an Office 365 Home subscription to put on them.

Yeah, Tom, I really haven't been to the hangar since August. I go on Wednesdays, but my inconsistently scheduled therapy made it hard. And honestly, some days I just can't do shit anyway. So, except for dropping by, haven't been out there. End of February, when hip 1 is done, I'm hoping!
And best wishes for your cousin. That's a lot to go through!

Off to town to pick up new glasses... well, old glasses w/new lenses. Long wait. Really don't like paying up front, but wtfygd.
edit.. Took all of 5min. Glasses are perfect. I had the presence of mind to ask for the old lenses back. I keep them in case I break one. I can make do with an old one until I can get the glasses repaired properly.
