@Devious6 Nice pictures. I took off almost a year from social media a few years back. Started deleting friends that posted so much negativity, I just did not need it in my life. I am so glad TW does not allow those type of posts on the site. In the long run there is nothing I could do to change the outcome of events so I continued to volunteer in my community, a place where I can make a difference.

Good morning. Son's truck broke down last night. Will not start, or make any sound when key is turned in the ignition. He had two young women with him, so the wife and I saved them from the cold. Unfortunately, I stayed with the truck till the tow truck arrived. Got back home at 11:15. Today is a busy one. Besides my music lesson I have a knee doctor appointment and later on the cat has a rabis shot and wellness check appointment. No rest today. If you are looking for a quick binge watch, on Netflix the show Man on the Inside is pretty decent.

First off, good luck @Sage63 and @US Marine !

:rain: Good Morning Porch Pals and Sue! From a brand new keyboard that uses all the letters. And is spaced JUST differently enough to drive me crazy! Spent yesterday getting both up and running. Now for a day replacing all the bookmarks and such, and "introducing" it to the secure contacts! At least I have enjoyed 0.25" of nice showers and a spinach quiche!

Have a great day, and see you later! :pccoffee:

Good Morning Folks :hattip:. Late start today :washing: with laundry duty :D. Wife is away so I am on my schedule...do what I want, when I want and when she finds out I'll end up in the dog house . Life is good.

Good Morning Jim. How much snow did you get? Watching the news here it looks like a sizeable amount of lake effect  hit Michigan. Be safe.

Good Morning Chuck :hattip:. We are up to 35 degrees now so thats not to bad . Positive thoughts and prayers:pray: that all turns out okay with your CAT scan. Take Care.

I took a social media sabbatical as well. Sometimes one needs to not post on a site. I finally got my peace of mind back and started posting on this thread and one other. For now that is all but maybe more later.
Tom you are a busy man and wish you luck at your knee appointment. Just don't get your knee appointment and the cats rabies shot appointment mixed up .

Have a great day folks. Enjoy and be safe.

We got about 8”-10” ish at the house, it has mostly settled down, yesterday was sunny. Wife works 12 miles away, they probably got 12”-14” over the last few days. There’s another one brewing up out in the lake, tonight and tomorrow should be fun. It’s nice being retired :D

I get whacked 40% 0n my SS payments because I have a Teachers Pension. I paid my Self Employment Taxes religiously for a 10 year stint being self employed.
It's called "Windfall Elimination" Orr "WEP". There's bill up now to eliminate WEP to be voted on by 12/31 for anyone in the same boat.

That's my wife. But she won't even take SS, because here in TX, she says they will take it from her pension, so it's a net wash. I've argued forever, but she's a TRTA (Retire Teachers Assoc) district board member, so if they don't know you can, you probably can't!

WOW! This is a pleasure typing with normal letters, and a speedy machine to boot!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Mine arrived about noon. Might start on it tonight, more likely tomorrow's project though.

Especially with two, I just did the "download this to set up" yesterday, and today we "personalized". If your weather sucks, two days is a great choice!

Well, since most everything works, I thought I'd try to upload some pics. Wow that's much better!
Here is the still nameless pup yesterday. Today, while Mom pickleballed, he went out in the rain, got toweled off, then in the drizzle, got dried off, then three more times! He loves the yard, and apparently, being wet! He has yet to give us a name clue, though we've tried several hints!

We saved like we were never going to get or need SS, although working and running two small companies I paid self employment tax as well. We are the generation age when 401K got us young enough so we took full+ advantange. Anyway getting $3K+ month from SS is just a nice problem to have. Wife gets about half that amount for her SS plus she has a small state pension from being a para-educator and then working for UWMC (university hospital state employee). I also stumbled into a small pension when my last company was taken over, the old employees kinda scored on retaining a pension even though it ended for new people. Funny thing we haven't touched our (converted) IRA's so I said heck with it, we are going all in on $170K Van - aka custom camper van conversion, but it won't be done until fall 2025, shoot!!

My new laptop arrived Saturday but I've been too busy setting up 2 new phones to do anything with it yet. I plugged it in to fully charge it and that's about it. She has a colonoscopy Friday morning so I figure Friday afternoon I should have a chance. Old laptop works fine but Windows 10 and got a good deal on a new one.

So how long do you think it will be before Windows 11 will be unsupported? These guys have us by the nuts and are making every generation shorter lived.
