    Afternoon all:

, WHAT, you can't make this up !

Buddy saw a deer this morning, waiting for a decent shot and positive ID that it's either a legal buck or doe. Now he needs to take a crap, and when he needs to go he needs to go, no waiting, its either now or poop in your pants. When he got up the deer took off and he's still not sure what it was, but thinks it was a doe. Strange thing is, he said it's the first time this year that he had "to go" in the woods, and of course it had to be when a deer is in range.
Personally, I think he has his priorities mixed up, there's plenty of water and leaves there to clean up!

Good news that your cousin is out of the hospital Tom, can only hope that she stays out for awhile.

Good luck with the results of the MRI David.

Where's the darn net Murph, I don't want you to forget anything when WE go to fish Jims Pond, you did say you would bring everything that WE needed!

You’re still a youngster. Just wait til 70 and over. Things hurt that never hurt that you never heard of or knew were a part of your body. I compare us to cars and trucks. As vehicles get older and more mileage things start wearing out and breaking down. The suspension wears out, the alternator stops working, fuel pump fails, wheel bearings wear out, etc. etc. on and on. Same things happen with us, things break, fail and wear out. Gotta be tough to grow old. To quote Hunter S Thompson -Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!

A little something every chance we get.
Yup. Until Mom gets home with another pair of eyes! He's too fast for me. She found ripped up trash from the neighbors can (on the other side of the fence), that could have been the cause. But he's on supervised suspension for the afternoon!

Late to the game, I heard about the bill but I don't get the premise entirely. My white was a state employee and gets her pension plus her ss less the standard 25% hit for retiring at 62. My dad when he was alive got a railroad pension but never paid into ss so I get why he didn't.

I thought that teachers also don't pay into SS and received their pension from their own trust fund like the railroad?
I know teachers and state police who worked part time jobs, even full time after retiring, where they paid into SS, that way they could get some additional pension money by being able to receive some social security benefits.

My neighbor used to work for a hospital (kidney center) in NYC and the pension from there, is deducted from his SS.

One of the guys that wrote a very nice review of one of my books was the editor of Motor Trend for several years. He died a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure he would be well described in his passing as sliding in sideways in a cloud of smoke, brakes on fire and a grin on his face. RIP C. Van Tune. Cannonball!

I taught a total of close to 30 years and receive a Teachers Pension. I left Teaching for a 10 year period and was Self Employed paying Self Employment Taxes. Because I have a Teachers Pension my Social Security Payments get whacked 40%. That's my story....I hope "WEP" gets eliminated by 12/31 deadline for the Senate to vote. It will help with the soon to come 25% cost of some goods with the increase in tariffs in 2025?
