"Another Drone filled night . My neighbor and his son went drone chasing to try to get closer to the area they are flying in. They described one as a Christmas drone with multi-colored lights flashing . Could some be either small aircraft or helicopters???That is the question :D."

A few years back here in the valley surrounding Tucson (predates the drones) - we had a light plane that showed up after dark for many nights and repeatedly flew a square pattern for hours at a time. Had running lights and kept mostly to the west side of town by my estimation. This went on for a considerable period and was noticed enough by locals to be talked about on our local news. After the flights were discontinued and after several months passed it was revealed that a "Federal Law Enforcement Agency" was using a military night vision device to photograph and conduct surveillance of a drug operation. Probably not discussed with local agencies due to security concerns.

Seems like a reasonable explanation for some of the recent drone activity. We have a Air Force base here and the Arizona Air Guard operating out of the city airport. They were unconcerned.

Morning Ken. Not to worry I won’t go political nor use any key words to have the ban hammer drop. But I just couldn’t let such a crazy exaggerated claim go unchallenged. I’d just like to know the economic basis for such a statement. Happy Saturday.

That saying you've stuck to the bottom of your posts, "The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." may apply. No one knows the future. Some people take comfort from what others see as unquestionably undependable.

As for the ban hammer. Where is the line? I'd like to be able to talk about financial and economic realities, but if it's seen as politics instead of just economics then whose problem is it? Are there written criteria to guide us? A lot of subjects aren't political unless you make them something they aren't. Even what I'm saying has no political content... just that I'm trying to learn where the lines are.

:rain::pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Damp as can be, but very little to measure. Yesterday was that drizzle you can barely see, but sticks to you and you're all wet before you know it! All day! Couple little showers last night and this morning. Supposed to clear in the afternoon.

    Amazing looking ham @95SLE !

That quote is from the author H P Lovecraft, one of the first writers of horror. Love his writing. Scary, unsettling, page turning horror. I’ve found that quote to be quite spot on, on occasion when I’ve been deep in the wilderness 20 or 30 miles from another human and experienced strange, inexplicable happenings. Yes I have some true tales of fear of the unknown.

Not so much political with economics but when the line "hope "WEP"gets eliminated by 12/31 deadline for the Senate tovote" was said, the possibilities of it going further into the political arena was made. There is a code of conduct for the forum and I for one have not read it but I watch what I say because I got a 30 vacation just for thanking someone .
I for one feel we have a right to talk politics but to keep peace on the forum it is banned. PM a person you can voice your opinion without issue. Hope this helps.

    Afternoon all:

That ham looks absolutely delicious Tom! :hungry:

Great present for the wife Steve, should be lots of brownie points there!!

OK, Last day of rifle season today and here's the story!
We finally found deer, I heard one blow at me but never saw it, then had a deer go by @ 11:10 in some brush just off a snow covered open area and I couldn't tell what it was, watched it go down through the woods where I could only see it here and there until it disappeared, at 11:20 I stood up to get ready to leave and spotted a deer feeding towards me, sat back down, scoped it and saw it was a doe, decided WTH, might be the only deer we will get and decided to shoot, I MISSED IT! :annoyed:

On top of that, my buddy found a spot not that much further in than we have been going that is loaded with deer sign, and if we come in from another direction it's way shorter to get there.
Looks like we will be flintlock hunting in there, and Lynns grandsons will be bowhunting there after Christmas, IF THEY DON'T CLOSE THE GATE for the road that we need to get in there on.
One of them years, seems like NOTHING is going right for either one of us when it comes to deer hunting, the kiss of death will be if they close the road after we finally found some decent deer sign.

    bucktales had a birthday today?
Happy birthday bucktales, and wishing you many more! :hbd:

    Thank You!

Went and looked at some public not too far from home.
Lots of hardwood and doesn't look like it gets hammered.
Muzzleloader is open here and there was one truck in there this morning.
Itching to get back to hunting with my .54 Jäger flinter.
Trying to get my ducks in a row for next season as well as Spring Turkey.
