Lawyers are nearly as good as Microsoft for charging the consumer for their own mistakes.

These clowns overlooked a common error in three different trusts. They claimed an old word to fix and charge me - they need to decant each trust.

Last May we bought a condo in Maryland and moved down from New Hampshire in July after having new flooring put in and the entire place repainted. The kitchen "appeared" to have new(ish) appliances, however, Wednesday, just a few days prior to our holiday guests arriving, our 6 year old GE dishwasher went Tango Uniform; Merry Christmas to me. I promptly walked over to Lowes and bought a new KitchenAid unit, yeah, it weren't cheap; it arrived yesterday, and last evening my future son-in-law and I installed it. I was able to remove the old one by myself in about 15 minutes; the new one took the two of us almost three hours to install, I kid you not, the instructions say at least two people are required for certain steps in the installation process.

I guess the good news is we now have a head start on next year's kitchen remodel project. :)

:santa: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Last Friday before Christmas, for what that's worth! Last therapy, and a quick errand. Football should take care of the rest of the day!

    Good Morning Dale :hattip:
I have always had an issue when swapping out dishwashers with the water feed and the discharge are never in the same side which means :annoyed::facepalm:time and plumbing  for installation. Nthing is plug and play with them.
Glad your set for the holidays. Have a Merry Christmas :santa:.

    Morning all:

Got an order from Walmart delivered via FedEx yesterday, it was left in the grass along the bottom of my driveway, reason for it being left there, gated driveway, I don't have a gated driveway!
All other prior deliveries of a bulk item have been either on the front porch or at the rear of the house, mostly at the rear of the house, guy must have been in a hurry!
NBD, I got it, but if someone not too honest spotted it they could have easily scarfed it up.

Morning all you old farts :hattip: dishwasher installation and removal can be a pain in the ass . The important factor is the layout / rough in of the original construction .

Good last-Saturday-b4-Christmas-morning! Beautiful morning in the 727. Crisp 51* on my walk. So quiet. Ahhhh...

I may venture out to Academy today and take a look at the pew-pews. I could Santa me a .22 pistol, been awhile since I've had one and they are so fun to plink with. Nice prices right now. :fenforcer:

Whatever it is you plan to do, may your plans be carried out to your liking!

Truth! I have remodeled the kitchen twice now and have had to move the main water feed 2 times. Dishwasher both times, well maybe the sink placement had a little to do with the first time.

Good morning. Baking cookies today! Going to be a busy day.

Well I wear glasses so I got new eyes.
I wear dentures so I got new teeth.
And I just ordered hearing aids so now I'll have new ears.
Only good thing about getting old today is you can get new parts!

    Morning all:

Anyone subscribe to the Usyk Fury fight tonight? Saw they are going to experiment with an AI judge whose round tally won't count if it comes down to a decision.
Fury is 6'9" and close to 300lbs. for this fight, that's one big dude, I like Usyk, hope he can get the job done again, either way, they are both great fighters.

I hope you have better luck with the Kitchen Aid dishwasher than we did ......... That control button strip at the top front is the most expensive piece I had to replace (twice) and the wheel arrangement for the upper rack travel was plastic and broke a year in. At least that part can be replaced with a steel roller/axle kit you can quickly find on-line. I think the button strip was a couple hundred bucks. There is an intrepid character on U-tube that replaced all on the contact buttons with switches that work - but I didn't have the time or patience to do such a repair. Plus my wife wouldn't want the buttons in her remodeled kitchen.....

Another dreary rainy day here in Northern California and more rain on the way. I don’t complain though cause we always need rain in California. Been a cool fall/winter here, highs in the 40’s and 50’s for the last month and looks to continue that trend. We’re only 35 minutes from the Sierra mountains and snow but we don’t have to deal with snow where we live. Heading up to the sierras this afternoon to go to our favorite ice cream place and stock up on ice cream. They make all their own ice cream and we think it’s the best on earth. The owner went to the university of Penn. where they actually teach ice cream making.
Tomorrow we’re going to our favorite place for brunch and after that probably take a nap. Retirement is soooo nice.
That’s about as far ahead as I can plan. So all be safe and well and Merry Christmas.
