I looked at your location. Seems like a lot at 600ft el and near Nashville (above normal!). Are you in the hills outside town?

Story on the tacos is we were rushed to get to the dog rescue center at noon, needed a quick bite. Did the job! It's OK we balanced it out with ice cream after the dog visit.

One scoop of Cardamom ice cream with one scoop of Carrot Cake ice cream. Wow that was a perfect flavor combination!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/chefs extraordinaire. I've been wanting to try sous vide but my wife pooh-poohs it. I plan to use the success of @95SLE to convince her!

My last house was an old stone semi-detached, one of several built by a nearby granite quarry for their workers. The neighbor and I wanted to get the stone repointed so we contacted some masons for price estimates. We got three of them; the first outfit wanted $12K, the second guy wanted $18K! A younger guy offered to do it for $6K, told us where to see some of his other work, and said he likes to mix a bit of local dirt in to give the mortar the appropriate color relative to the stones. We hired him and he did a great job.

Tree trimming! I got one of these. I already had the battery and charger so I just got the bare tool. It's a bit of a chore to handle at full extension but I've done okay with it. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/2825-21PS

I really like my Milwaukee tools. And I'd be tempted if I thought I could use it occasionally, but once these three branches are down I doubt I will need it again. Pretty cool little tool though. Maybe I should start trimming orchards?

    Rental?
That's what I do when I occasionally need a power trimmer to trim back overhanging limbs along my driveway, a 4hr. rental will cover what I need to do and not that expensive.

IMG_0045.jpg Morning kids :hattip:snowing  it’s supposed to do that in Michigan this time of the year. Don’t like taking the truck out when the roads are covered in salt. But when you get enough snow, they pull the plow trucks off :D

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch pals & Sue! A nice 1.12" of cold, wet rain only yesterday (all day and night!) Windy and brisk for today. Off to see the Ortho Doc for my last pre-assessment around lunch time. Told the third party group that texts me "for my health and monitoring" that I'd be doing no more protein shakes. Made my kidneyA numbers all wonky, hospital said they "might" not be able to do the job, called my cardiologist about it. So did I. "Why are you taking this stuff". Was told to follow the 3rd part stuff by the doc. Well, that stuff causes wonky kidney numbers, so unless they tell you it's medically necessary, stop. By the way, cardiologist says they aren't even allowed to get to that company's website. Doc office did not get back to me that it was medically necessary. All this BS is making me need that drink I can't have. I will have questions for the doc today for sure.
    Dang, I'm having curmudgeon fun!

My hospital and PT places both had attached pools; hospital rolled me down in a wheel chair, PT same as walking in. If it's available, you will love it!

Just talked to a good friend of mine. He told me his daughter and son in law just moved into their new home in LA 6 weeks ago. Their home burned to the ground. They escaped with the cloths on their backs and their dog. He showed me pics, the only thing standing was the remains of the fireplace. He said they are not rebuilding, they are out of there.
