    Afternoon all:

Might add eye doctors to the list!

Dr. prescribed eyeglasses in 4th grade, got headaches when I wore them, could see and read anything near and far until 42 years old, I DIDN'T NEED GLASSES, get mad every time I think about that, I'm sure that most professionals know how to MAXIMIZE their profits!

One of the reasons I question anything medical is because every number they give can be different the next day. I've had triglycerides be as high as 1400 but when I went back in they were normal. Lately we've noticed that if we have our blood pressure taken immediately in a doctor's office it's much more likely to be high compared to taking it ten minutes later, while we are still waiting for the doctor in the room. And it seems like so much of their meds can be unnecessary, some change in diet, exercise, or just stress relief alleviating an issue. I think everyone has a genetic heritage where their ancestors evolved to do well on certain foods. But mainly we all have a genetic heritage and what we do with it makes some real differences. Both of my parents had high blood pressure and high cholesterol and took meds for them. I don't, and I'd like to think my habits make the difference.

And I wish I'd never had my lenses put in my eyes. They didn't let me know the downsides until afterwards... and I didn't know the right questions to ask.

Doctoring by numbers doesn't work. IMHO. Aka sticking with "protocol" is not a path to health.

I don't have any issue with the bridge or teeth it is attached to. I dont know if the dentist was looking for vacation money or whatever. I have a lot of work that has been done over the years and until I have major problems I will keep what I have and take care of the issues then. They are as healthy as can be with no problem eating steak :D.

Good Morning Porch Folks :hattip:. Hope everyone has a great Sunday

Heart breaker loss for the Lions last night :(. Thought they would make it to the Super Bowl
I have feeling it will be a sad day in Philadelphia today with the Rams winning  . Surely hope not, but  who knows.

Enjoy the football, stay warm and safe :fistbump:

I will ask my knee dock about massages. Who knows they may be covered, but I doubt it.

LOL I thought you were talking about the market in Seattle. The market you go to looks really nice. We have a farmers' market, but it only operates from May till October. It is kept small on purpose, and it only happens on Sunday mornings.

Good morning. Happy morning for me, the Commanders won. Lions turned the ball over 5 times and still scored 31 points. Going to snow here today so I will be at the gym when it opens at 8am.

slight misunderstanding... I have a massage table, that you can use, for your home physical therapy. They had me doing all kinds of different movements, lying on your back and sliding the recovering knee/foot on the bed(which didnt work) but it slid fine on the table, etc. etc.

Congrats to the Washington Commanders Tom . Maybe we will be playing next weekend :D. See you on the field in Philly .

The massage table is a good idea Murph :fistbump:. I wish I had one for the home exercises, the bed was too soft and the floor too far down (Couldn't get down or up). Thanks for offering it to Tom.

Sunday football today unless I get a better offer

Good Sunday morning! I had a whirlwind week of onboarding. Glad that is over!! Good people, I think this is my last stop, by first week impressions. First day, I find out one of our reps is moving out of the area in the next 2 months or so. I will be searching for her replacement starting tomorrow. She is a good one!

Made 10 quarts of gumbo (none of that seafood crap!) yesterday. Nothing like enjoying a couple beers while tending to the roux. Gumbo is on the menu for this evening as well!! Yum!
Enjoy the day and if you have a team, may it be successful.

I kinda guessed that. Seattle is around 130 miles from my house, far enough we don't worry much about crime. But when we lived closer we would take visitors and such. So our market is Sat year round EXCEPT Jan-Feb it's every other Sat. I was surprised yesterday at the amount of greens from 4 or 5 sellers. Nice collards and kale. I have picture on my phone, lousy............and the geezer in the pic isn't me. :D:p That was me a couple years ago, shapewise, more or less

A deep clean in the house by a good cleaning team works wonders. We had it done to our place in Japan a few years back. Just gives you a good feeling. They get into places that you tend to overlook. I’m a true believer.

I love the small farmers markets, Seattle market is,, my opinion a tourist destination. Too crowded and, other,,,, haven’t been to the city in years. Small towns are better for the soul.
