    Evening all:

    Sue!
Just pulled the trigger on a front set of Rough Country seat covers. :spending:
I had 2 sets of Cover King neo Supremes and they seemed to hold up fairly well. The drivers side seat cover on the Tacoma is pretty worn after 7 yrs., guess that's not too bad, the passenger side is like new, now if only I could just buy the one replacement seat cover for the drivers side instead of having to buy both!

New dishwasher will happen today... a Kenmore (someone asked). Got the driveway cleaned up yesterday, so.. no excuses. Should be an in-out. We'll see. I'll put down my long runner, that I cover the carpet with... workers sometimes forget to wipe their feet. We were able to keep the old dishwasher working somewhat, while we waited for the new one. However, I had to wash a few loads by hand. I remember thinking if I ever build a new house, it will have a dishwasher. We did, and it does. This will be our third, in 30+ years.
Washed a load overnight... no issues. The dishes look clean to me. Looking for the manual, there isn't one... just a large, folded paper, printed both sides. Where's my magnifying glass? Oh well.. as long as they're clean.

    Good morning all.

Short work day today. Leaving at 9 to attend a funeral. There's a good friend I've known since first grade, graduated with him, Boy Scouts with him, etc. His dad hasn't been doing well, in home hospice for several months. Monday afternoon I saw I'd missed a phone call while at the gym and had a text from my friend. Knew right away what that meant before I even called him back. Dad passed away Sunday afternoon. Services are today at 10. His father was 87 years old and his folks married for 64 years. Not sure how his mom is going to be without him.

Or, maybe turn the passenger side cover inside out. It should fit the driver side. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work at all, would be nice if that was an option though.

Got about 8" of heavy snow overnight. I'm tired of winter and shoveling and snowblowing snow. Seriously considering selling and moving to a 55+ condo. I'd miss bbq and my deck in the summer. But winters wearing thin.
Just waiting for the plow to dump 2' plus at the end of the driveway

This was a few years ago on our deck in Auburn, NH; notice the bump of snow off in the upper left, that is where my Weber kettle was. If memory serves, I grilled that night.547DeckSnow.jpg

    Thank you Susan.

I saw yesterday at the services just how hard his mom is taking it. I truly fear this is going to be one of those cases where she might go within the year after losing her husband. They were married for 64 years. I spent some time talking with my friend Mark and his 2 brothers. They're looking into some form of assisted living facility for their mom. I made sure mom has my number and directions to call me at any time should she need anything as I live closer to her distance wise than any of the family members at this point. I've known this whole family my entire life. I know it's not news to anyone here but i think this is one of the worst parts of getting older.

    Morning all:

Sad times for all those involved with the passing of your friend's dad Chuck, unfortunately it is a reality of getting older, can only wish for the best for his wife.

We have haircut appointments this am. May not be able to get there... everything's covered with wet ice. Glad I salted the driveway. Groceries delivery scheduled today, may not happen either.
The weather this morning is the acid test for our new hardwire internet connection. So far, so good. Not even a flicker.
