I believe Percy Sledge did When a man loves a woman, but I agree, that wans a good era for music, and good memories.

You are correct. I said When a Man Loves a Woman but I meant For Your Precious Love. Got excited thinking about my youth and those pretty girls.

They sure don't make girls like they used to.

It's funny that I'll be walking through a grocery store or out at some kind of tourist attraction... and glance at some young lady or ladies, and they will scowl as though I'm an old man looking at them as some kind of pervert... and in fact I'm looking at them as some kind of freak show. The recent magic marker eyebrows only adds to my inclination to laugh at them. I can't think of a single "enhancement" that improves on nature, and the enhancements have only become more numerous and more bizarre over the years. I'm glad I wasn't born in these times because it would be hard to find a real girl. And all the enhancements are claimed as ways to express "individuality" as they all look similarly grotesque.

    Morning all:

SO: I called ez pass and was told they would send me a new email with the link that was missing from the first one that verifies the email and activates the account, and that the person I was talking to said she couldn't just verify it through the phone call. No new email with the link. so logged into the account and it says active, guess that means it was verified and that I can now use it as soon as I receive the transponder in the mail. :notsure:
I'm in the dark about what's going on, "I THINK" the account is good to go now and that I should be receiving the transponder shortly, if not I will need to make another phone call. It sure would be nice if they would have contacted me and let me know that the account was activated and that the transponder would be mailed out shortly, that's "IF" the account is now good to go! :annoyed:
    NOTHINGS EASY!

I listen to mostly 50’s and 60’s tunes and have my playlists. Also listen to country. And I love DooWop. If you want to see and listen to some great DooWop do a YouTube search for Doo Wop or Doo Wop pbs. Here’s 30 or so minutes that will take you back to your teens.

Me too... well, for me in 1957, in Del Mar (on the beach)... then we moved to Rancho Santa Fe in 1965... then near Escondido in 1970, after spending 6 months in Australia with my dad. Graduated from Orange Glen High in 1976.

Various jobs and classes at Palomar College followed until the irrigation business 'grabbed me' in 1980!

Bought my first home in 1985, also near Escondido. That was for wife #1.
In 1994, I moved to Vista (for wife #2). A job took us to Fresno for 2 1/2 years ('95-'98).
    Oceanside was 1998 to 2013.
Met future wife #3 in December of 2004, married in 2008.
San Marcos was 2013 to 2018. My wife and I bought a home near Fallbrook in 2018.

I look at women because they are attractive and also look at the young freak shows. You know the ones with purple and pink hair, lip, nose, tongue and other piercings, and the tattoos covering both arms and everything else that is visible. I know this makes me sound like an old fart (I am) but just wait for a few years when those tats simply look like blobs of ink and you can’t tell what the hell they originally were. There are still some real girls out there thank goodness, but getting harder to find.
The pic of David K pretty young granddaughter gives me hope for the young generation.

My dad had a restaurant across the street from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville when I was 8/10. My siblings and I would sneak in and play tag in the bleachers. Sometimes there were people jamming on stage. One time I was running from my brother and I ran right into a lady and fell down. She picked me up and brushed me off and said, "You need to watch where you're going there, little boy." I thought it was weird that she had a price tag hanging off her straw hat.

These are ‘freak shows’ alright! Most of us appreciate the gifted of nature beautiful skin, the facts of this reflected in many different methods of preservation pursued by scientists and cosmetics industries. :fistbump:

I didn’t grow up there, but moved there from 3 years in Japan. I was stationed in Yokosuka while in the navy. Got to San Diego in 77 with my Japanese wife, got our first one bedroom apartment in Chula Vista for $170 a month.

After multiple deployments throughout the rest of the 70s and well into the 80s, after a few more apartments (due to a growing family) we bought our first house in 80, I think, for, check it out, 13% interest.
San Diego was a great place in the 70s. Great weather, wonderful beaches. Finally moved back up to Washington in 89. Retired from the Navy in 93 and still reside here. Life throws some curveballs at times, things change. I loved San Diego when I lived there and if I stayed, I’m sure I would have done well. But don’t think I could go back and live there. Now, we love Washington, and every year (spring) we pack it in and go back to Japan for 3 months.

Life is a great ride my friends, enjoy it every day. Cheers!

A little better weather yesterday, and this am so far. Started the Taco yesterday, let it run a while. Hadn't been started for a month or so. Fired right up. I bought it new in '06. That truck will probably outlast me.
Off to a local hospital this am... wife needs to see a foot/ankle doctor, maybe find out why her right ankle gets swollen. I sure hope so, but no one has figured it out so far. The incentive is to treat it, not fix it, IMO.

Awesome weather here in Middle Tennessee this week . Also warmer weather is a sign to to get the Camaro out of the garage and ready for car shows and cruising around

Good morning! Sunny day today, in San Diego County... will be in the 70s where I am, 15 miles from the beach.
How do I get motivated to organize photos (and other indoor tasks) when the outdoors is so wonderful?

    Afternoon all:

Well todays plan of the day went South fast!
I had planned to clean up the mess that a large broken off pine branch caused, went to start the garden tractor and a no go. It cranked over slowly for quite a while, but not fast enough to start it, when I went to remove the battery to charge it, I saw that the + cable and terminal had heavy corrosion on it, when I put the battery on charge it was showing 88% charge. I always put anti corrosion grease on the terminals but that doesn't seem to work all that well, have also tried the felt washers and the red spray on stuff that is supposed to stop corrosion with the same results, guess I just need to live with having to clean the terminals when needed!
