Starship flight #8 launch is today... 5:30 pm central time... the booster catch is just a few minutes after and the water landing off Australia is an hour and six minutes after launch. I hope all the cameras will be working!

My favorite YouTube channel to watch for Starship Updates is WAI (What About It) hosted by Felix S.
For the actual launch, there are at least three YouTube channel with live coverage... Falcon-9 launches, too. We live down from Vandenberg Space Base, California. When the launch is flying south-east, over Baja California, we see it here in San Diego (if after sunset, clear sky). I watch the launch on YouTube (search: SpaceX, to find the channel) then after a minute, walk outside to see it rise above the horizon until it dips below the hill to the south of my home.

I am on the Excalibur crossbow forum, which I think is done with, guys on there are now going to an Excalibur owner's chatroom on Facebook, Facebook marketplace has been mentioned quite a bit, seems like more and more people are listing items for sale there instead of Craigs List.

 

70F but too darn windy for a bike ride.

I'm still getting my little things done. It's the perfect time for my 25-year-old Porter Cable Brad nailer to rip a head valve. New nailers are $89. The head valve is $5, but I need to locate one. I should probably just run up to Home Depot and buy one. It's still cheaper than a trip to the ER with a broken thumb (don't ask what prompted me to buy the Brad nailer in the first place).

This is more probate fun. My wife was previously married, but I still need to do a prove-up to show she was divorced when we got married. The will is valid, but I'm just crossing my t's and dotting those i's. I have to love Texas.

The contractor should be out this week (it should be sunny once the wind dies down) to reside in the pump house and paint—$ 1900. Small jobs are a pain in the rear, but I am running out of time to get to everything.

I've got the mulch guy lined up. It will cost $900 to put in 16 bags. The catch is that it can not get to me for another three weeks.

For that kind of money I need to go back to work.

I mentioned that I had a guy quote me $600 to cut three limbs out of an apple tree... So I went to Home Depot and bought a $40 twelve foot long pruning saw and got my ladder and circular saw out of the garage, and did it myself. Less than an hour to chop the three limbs and a couple of very relaxed weeks to clean up the mess and make firewood. And the $560 is still in the food budget. So I took my wife out to Chinese today and bought a Papa Murphy's for tomorrow night.

 

I am not subscribed to YouTube... I just watch for free (sure a few commercials play).

 

@roundrocktom nice to see your post. I also have a couple of jobs i need to have completed. The cost may seem high but if you hurt yourself doing the project the cost would then seem low.
