Hi Carl, It was Tom's @95SLE cousin. I hate hearing this news, but it is inevitable at our age. RIP Tom's cousin

Well... I've got a ticket to go get some stuff appraised at the Antiques Roadshow. We get to take two things each for appraisal. I've got a silver articulated fish that I've always wondered about. It was sent from Europe to my mother. Supposed to be sent before WWII but the war delayed it until after.
But the second thing is a challenge. I have a set of leather chaps, vest, and holsters I wore as a three/four year old. Or I have a set of three farm equipment toys, a Farmall tractor and hay trailer with a True-scale baler that actually works like a real baler as the wheels turn... except it hasn't the wire/twine. And I have the Cannonball hat signed by Brock Yates, given out at the start of one of the Cannonball races.
I thought about taking the fish and the farm toys and wearing the hat, and see if anyone notices the hat.

OOPS, I knew that it was Toms cousin but somehow managed to mess that up.

Just got done string trimming, little bit still to do but the major part is done, thought it would be best to do it before it gets into the 80's later on in the week.

I always hated yard work, did it since I was a little kid. (I like vegetable gardening though). I now have gardeners do front and back every other week. In the summer I watch them and drink beer. In the winter I watch them and drink coffee. Gave away my mowers, trimmers and other yard equipment. That was a great day when I did that.

Can’t even imagine the results after a dog ate figs. Probably a shitty experience. :)

Not sure how old your farm toys are but I have some very similar that my Grandfather bought me in 1967 when we visited his farm. The are very cool and work like the real thing. I had them appraised a few years back and they weren't worth a lot, $100 each at most if in mint shape. I would not give them up for the world though! Have fun at the Road Show.

Yeah, I just googled the hay baler and it's not worth much. I was surprised at how common they are. I doubt the leather chaps/vest/holsters are worth much either. Cool stuff but probably more common than I thought.
I guess it will be the Cannonball hat...
