    Evening all:

    Going to try something!
I was reading about balancing LM blades, lots of posts said the cone balancer and the hang on a nail method weren't that accurate. One guy mentioned placing a bearing in the blade arbor hole and then place it on a horizontal shaft mounted to something or held in place by a vice.
Sounds like that should actually work pretty well, anyone ever try that, in any event 1/4"ID x 5/8"OD flanged bearings are on the way!

Maybe the big question is how necessary is it to have a super precisely balanced blade? I do a lot of testing just because I'm curious, and one is a lawnmower I bought back in '07. Everybody seems pretty sure that maintenance is very important, but my mower was bought to be abused when I had the ranch, and I've only changed the oil three times (Every five years like clock-work) and the plug once, and I think the air filter once. I've probably only sharpened the blade three times too, and always "balanced" it using a nail. This mower starts every spring with one/two pulls, gas stored in it over the winter. Just recently, the last two weeks, I've had to pull the rope more than normal so I bought a new air filter and a plug came with it. I'll see what happens. I've been hoping it would die so I could get a battery unit. It doesn't owe me anything.
I once had someone tell me that a serpentine belt needed to be changed on a vehicle at 15K miles... just because it had "cracks" in it. I knew that was bull, so I decided to see how long it would last. I sold that car at 95K, years later, and replaced that same belt just to sell the car and it still had cracks in it.

Good morning. Coffee pot crapped out yesterday, K Cup Supreme. Water pump is working just not pulling water out of the water tank. I can see the water moving in the plastic tube so there must be a vacuum leak. I will be working on it again today. This happened after a descaling operation. My day today is already hosed.

We switched to the supreme. The rest of the kuerig line is crap. We went thru a coffee maker a year. We found our current one on eBay ( used). Began to be descaled every three months. ( annoying)
